SATURDAY SANTA ANITA ANALYSIS

RACE 1

A route maiden 40 K race for four yr. olds and up. The lineup is.....

1. Oneinamillionyou.....Pass! A six year old beaten at least by ten lengths in his last start. The track needed six starters so they ask him to run....

2. Soi Phet.....I bet him last time.......clockers like this guy......He did not show up on the turf last time out....He drops in for a tag......loses the blinkers.....bred to route. He just might be a morning glory......but might not be!

3...Lethal Intent..... another endless string of Unusual Heat runners. One check in five starts....split the field in his only route race.....showed speed to be a contender on the drop.

4. Ke Kukui......filly racing with the boys....second time comebacker for Bell........Bejarano rides.....check the tote board for more clues.

5. Cook Inlet.....He dropped in a maiden claimer and split the field.....Third start after three months off.....He set a fast pace....look like he was short that day....tighter now.... strictly the horse to beat here....

6. Stonewall Jackson.....added blinkers and drop in for a tag.... did not do much....He might outrun odds in his fifth comeback start.

     1. Cook Inlet.....should be more on the bit here!
     2. So Phet......might just be a morning glory
     3. Ku Kukui....filly beating the guys....postive sign

     Pedigree play Stonewall Jackson

Pick Five  5 with 2,6,7 with 3 with 2,3 with 3,9  OUT

$20 Place on So Phet  PAID $3.60

RACE 2

A one mile maiden special weight turf race for three year olds.... Only one speed horse.....He shortens up in distance today......Come Catch him....Late Night Sky might be hard to collar if given a easy lead.... He exits a key race with Cat´s Enough.....highly regarded race. I bet the class of the race in the Hollywood Prevue where he finished second.... Brother Francis has the class angle.....He is the horse to beat if he can collar both Late Night Sky and No Silent who looked very talented running down the hill in his debut.... He ran into Smoking G in his debut. The first time starter Achillies by Smart Strike looks like a runner to me.... might need a race before unloading on him...might is the key!

           1. Late Night Sky......might steal this one
           2. Brother Francis.....class of the field
           3. No Silent.....good looking debut

FTS Achillies take a look during warm-up

Take a shot with a early pick four

             1,2,6,7 with 3 with 2,3 with 3,9  OUT

Pick Three 1,2,6,7 with 3 with 2,3

UPDATE PAID $257.60

RACE 3

A short dash at five and half furlongs at the cellar....Eight K. Five Star Cruise the clocker´s like.......this is what they said....
Terrific drill for the level flying by the stands......easy on the turn....seems likely to bust out of there.....B+.  She has speed for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer....this Golden Gate shipper gets the new bug boy to ride....lot´s to like here. Filly Power drops in class....She has speed to make her a contenders...Desperate Measures ran like a short that needed a race..... He once could crushed this field.... Folk can she win two straight.....

           1. Five Star Cruise.....clockers like this one
           2. Desperate Measures..might be tighter
           3. Filly Power......speed

$20 across the board on Five Star Cruise

PAID $9.00 $5.00 $3.80

Pick 3      3 with 2,3 with All

UPDATE PAID 189.70

RACE 4

A maiden starter allowance at the distance of one mile on the turf. Joburg Star looks to be out winging with Kessabtis pressing the pace. He stretches out in distance to one mile.....melt or be game is the key..... Kessabtis shortens up in distance....Relenteless Heat won a Cal Bred special weight race down the hill.....He face better company then this field....but does stretch out in distance. A Little Hot Sauce has ran the distance.....finished second last time out....Confusious Junior has been knocking at the door up north....gets Eswan to ride...player! The longest shot of the race Wild Grey comes back quickly after a horrible start....needs to break cleanly... I like him as my longshot play.....tab the switch to Martin Garcia...needs a fast pace to run at....

             1.   Rentless Heat.......exits with better horses
             2.  A Little Hot Sauce......beware likes distance
             3.  Confusious Junior...gets the red hot Eswan

             Longshot play Wild Grey....wacky longshot!

$20 place A Little Hot Sauce
PAID $3.60

RACE 5

A non winner of two at the claiming price of 12 G´s at one mile. It looks like Jim´s Decision and Rock This Race might go to the early lead....Jim´s Decision has Eswan riding..... Come Catch Him....Spicy Beau gets back to the surface that he won at. He should stalk the speed...player! Seek The Light a stone cold closer...... has to look to the pace to win.....favorite at post time maybe as Rosario rides... The Hunt is On..... I expect to be send from the outside post......needs to clear so he will not lose any ground on the first turn....a player with these.

This race looks very suspect.....non winners of two tells the story. Quillotano is the bomb coming back....a closer in a field that looks very suspect to me....

The pace might have The Hunt Is On with Jim´s Decision and Spicy Beau pressing the pace early....clarity is a tad low with this field of bottom dwellers. The fastest horse is Rock This Way....hard to judge him......blueblood pedigree with a big time drop in class..red flag as Rosario goes to Seek The Light....Talamo has been red hot of late.....top jockey on him tells me he might be sound at this level.

               1. Jim´s Decision......speed with Eswan
               2. Seek The Light.....Rosario pick this one
               3. Rock This Way.......blueblood

Longshot Quillotano.....watch out if he runs back to that Tales Of Tigger race...... I like this one.....I can see him upsetter this suspect field.

The Hunt Is On.....add the pick three

                  Be Forward before unloading!

A Value play looks to be a pick three....It´s a value bet because the next three races are very wide open.....this pick three looks to pay good.  This is a real gamble here.... The ticket looks like this..

         3,4,5,7,9,10 with 5,6,7,10 with 8  cost $30 OUT

RACE 6

Take note this is a tough cast of salty characters going down the hill......The pace looks fast..... Kumiva trained by Carla Gaines lost a hearbreaker to two closers crossing the dirt....any improvement makes him scary....Mr. Make Believe ran in the same race as Kumiva getting second......any improvement makes him scary....Marty Jones teams up with Rosario to ride Don Perico. He has tactical speed and can sit right off the speed chillin then kick clear crossing the dirt....a  contender...The clockers like Depreciable who is the route to sprint angle....should get a good trip with Bejarano riding....He has run down the hill before.... Victor rides... Le Mans ran like he needed last start.....a hint of a touch of back-class..... Mike Smith takes over for Go-Go.  He is a contender in a tough race!

I see a number of contenders and very few pretenders in this contentious competive run down the hill....it´s a spread here!

            1. Le Mans
            2. Depreciable
            3. Kumiva

            Longshot Silver Spur

$20 place on Depreciable
PAID $5.70

RACE 7

A short dash for three year old maiden special weight fillies. Baffert sends out two first time starter fillies....Splendid Fortune and My Selection.....four gate drills which is weird...Baffert sends them out ready to fire.....does not run horses that need a race to win. Fly Solo a filly I have bet exits a good debut at Del Mar with Charm The Maker.....expect her fourth start to be big. She has speed. Rosario rides...Pslam Sixteen daughter of Songandprayer looks very live here for trainer Biancone. Jerry Hollendorfer sends out the first time starter Marinda.....she looks live as the clockers like her.... B+. Good odds.....let´s take a shot here....hard to bet against any Baffert´s runners lately!

Hard race to start any late pick four......Check the tote board for any more clues.....! I might spread the first leg

               1. Marinda
               2. Fly Solo
               3. My Selection

                Pedigree play Pslam Sixteen

Pick three  5,6,8 with 2,3,7 with 7

PAID $34.80

RACE 8

The China Doll one mile on the turf for three year olds. A tough cast of fillies....The hot horse is Indigo River....she runs like she will have no problem with this distance. Lady Of Shamrock switches back to the turf where she runs better on....Lady Of 50 ran against the boys pressing the pace before fading.....expect better here....She has won 4 out of six starts....She is talented.
She Spirit Di Su runs better at this distance....She did not take to the hill....I expect better.....She exits that key maiden race with Lovestealer.....no throw out!

             1. Indigo River
             2. Lady Of 50
             3. Lady Of Shamrock

             Longshot She Spirit Di Su

RACE 9

The big race for the run for the roses.....not that much time left to earn the money....The San Felipe Grade 2 one mile and a sixteenth for three year olds. Bodemeister trained by Baffert ran the fastest dirt mile at Santa Anita this year...Hard for a maiden to jump up and win stakes race.....but will be well bet today. He looks and acts like the real deal....He will press the pace....with a front running style. American Act will most likely go with him. The top two year old Creative Cause looked short last time out at seven furlongs....He should improve as he finish full of run.....American Act beat Creative Cause....He should improve if he is not scratch today....I picked him in his winning maiden race...good odds then he looked awesome almost beating Drill. A Cal. Bred I have always like is Rousing Sermon.....He is talented....loves this distance....He is a blue collar worker. He is a player that comes to work every race....He is not a blueblood but shows up to get the job done...... do not dismiss him!  Iám looking for Talamo to have him more into the bit at this distance.....track has not been kind to closer.......need to be mid-pack stalker to get to the lead.

            1. Creative Cause......top two yr. old
            2. Bodemeister.....looks like the real deal...
            3. Rousing Sermon.....blue collar worker

            Longshot American Act.....ultra talented!

$20 across the board on Creative Cause

EX.  7- 2

RACE 10

Maiden claimer for three year olds sprinting on the main track. Warren´s Wesley ran into a buzz saw called The Black......third start of his career with Bejarano riding....The Black is talented but every one behind him looks modest as Patrotic Lion and Papa´s P.B are classic hangers....Vann Belvoir puts the hood on Zander who ran like his first race was a prep.......expect much better second time out......A sneaky trainer with Victor riding. Already There the morning line favorite finished third behind Flower Power who did not run this week in a allowance race. Alworth finished third behind Derby Gold and the first time starter for a Mitchell assistant.......might be overbet here. Dr. Evil the scary dropper in class looks live here. Mister Rudy expect better...had to need last race....gets weight off for a trainer that uses bug boys in maidens races....

            1. Zander
            2. Mister Ruby
            3. Dr. Evil
