Notes from Down-South or Notes from the Underground

The 75th running of the Big Cap.....Big field and Big Crowd....... to watch at Santa Anita last weekend.

A suicidal pace by Gladding and Ultimate Eagle......benefitting Ron The Greek......who was 15 lengths off the half mile.....44.55- swept five wide turning for home. He then drew off to be much the better then the rest of this field.

In the Las Virgenes...... the favorite is just a blueblood sprinter in this race as Eden´s Moon from maiden win to graded stakes win drew off down the lane for another Baffert win.

In the Kilroe Mile former claimer Willyconker beat Mr. Commons who still has the classic hanger in him down the lane.....He needs to step up and fly down the lane.... He hung like a classic hanger....

Horses to watch next time out..... Rocket Roan and Tiz A Bud Girl...........and the unlucky Camelia Rose who was blocked by traffic.....next time out short odds... Stratify is improving for Eoin Harty..... Industry Leader horse to watch next time out trained by the red hot trainer at this meet Kristin Mulhall.

Claim of the week looks to be Sweet Nectar.....by trainer Vann Belvoir......I knew this one was getting claimed because of the blueblood pedigree..
