RACE 1

The morning line favorite Flower Power drops from maiden special state restricted weight race... Bonde hits with this angle...contender from the rail... Miller sends out two... I like the first time starter Rosario rides...Rico Espada.... looks like a runner to me....Convict Lake drops big time for trainer Marty Jones as Flores rides this son of A.P. Indy.Alworth has some fast long works which I love to see with first time starters. Watch for clues... Caesar Dominguez is cold this year.... but he still is one of the best with babies on this circuit.... Playing The Odds has a great pedigree to fire first time out .... Smart Strike and Awesome Gambler.... check out during pre race warm up....I like the long drills Caesar has strung together.....

RACE 2

Another Baffert freak Princess Arabella.....looked awesome breaking bad then made a wide move turning for home...she was hammered down to the favorite.... won!  The field was modest. She might be a future star or just other well bred three year old filly.... One thing we do know.... got a big Beyer speed number and she won having tons of trouble in her debut.... I expect improvement......Starship Flare returns to the dirt. The drop in class can only help her. Rosario rides Sage D Óro who beat yesterdays winner Lovestealer who won down the hill. She shortens to seven panals which is ideal for her stalking this pace. Tapajo is a well bred daughter of Tapit that improves with age..... do not sell short as she starts her 2012 race.

RACE 3

When Bejarano rides for Gutierrez he is his main man...and on a live one as the adage goes..... Warren´s City Art is fresh and dropping in class.... Runs on the dirt...like the last works... the one to beat.

RACE 4

A one mile on the turf for non winners of two for the claiming price of 25 G´s. Take note....Hard to trust this field of fillies and mares. Geniality looks to press the pace with the bug-boy riding her. Come Catch her....I expect Cosset to go with her. She was above average mare back east but coming west she has run three races that are horrible for trainers Jeff Metz..... He adds the blinkers on her which just might do the trick.... I expect better as the morning line is 12 to 1. If the speed melts down then look to Real Rockport....comes in fresh for trainer Walther Solis... she fits with these...The morning line favorite Carousel, a stone cold closer will try to pick up the melt downs turning for home. Long Legged Lovely is on my watch list....do not dismiss!

RACE 5

The pace looks to be Terrify with Classy Attraction.... Terrify shortens up to six panals..... has a hint of better races coming into her second race of this year.... The trainer is ice cold...but having said that she is coming off a year long lay-off.... I expect she will run better then her morning line of 20 to 1. Classy Attraction has gas and a good outside post..... All The Love gets back to the dirt where she runs better....Major Player with Rosario riding her. Queenie Marini is dropping lower then she was claimed by O´Neil....usually not a good positive sign but Neil has been red hot of late. Sizzling Gold gets weight off. She should be right behind the speed turning for home.. Mike Anderson sends out a interesting live longshot with Victory With Class....she has above average two and three year old speed figures.... do not dismiss her......with double digit odds.

Looks suspect to me...on paper .....top picks but do not throw out the speed...Terrify and Victory With Class take a long look at them during pre-race warm up. Value bet just might be one of these two horses...

RACE 6

A fairly modest field of maidens go down the hill sprinting on the turf. Blinkers come off Luckyvic who just might make the lead. She gets back on the turf coupled with the trainer taking off the blinkers. Angel´´s Moon should stalk the pace behind the speed. Bruce Headley has freshen up her since Hollywood. She debuts on the turf with turf pedigree....works are solid. Abella was hammered down in her first start by the bettors.... She press a fast pace before fading to fourth in a sprint on the main track...... She looks ready to debut on the turf for the first time.... She has excellent turf pedigree.... watch out as Bell does very good making these moves from dirt to turf. Take note and check out the tote board with two first time starters.... David Flores rides Mary Knight five year old mare Sinergized. On the outside Bejarano rides Sea John´s Spirit.... looks like a runner to me. Linda Winz is wheeled back quickly..improving....fits with these.. The pro who is my longshot pick is Warren´s My Queen...player here!

RACE 7

I have love the horse Afternoon Deelites and the sire Pulpit.... Red hot trainer combo with Sean and Blanc....won last week this pair.... McCarthy sends out Lucky Timing on the outside in this first level allowance for California bred filly-mare sprinters. She looks very live off the bench.... I like the works. The speed looks to be Lil Miss Macky with Mellissa Rose having the highest speed figure in the field... Mellissa Rose might be the favorite at post time....Maya Angelina gets back to the dirt....She will pick up the pieces..late threat...

RACE 8

The Sweet Life stakes down the hill on the turf sprinting...The Euro´s and former Euro´s look tough here... first starting with She Spirit Di Su who cuts back from a mile to six and half furlongs.. Dijarvo won a 80 G stake race in the land of frogs..against dudes... tab for major player..as Patrick and Blanc team up on the grass.... very talented gal...the one to beat if ready and I say If ready...she is coming off a six month lay-off is my concern. Indigo River was awesome winning her US debut down the hill...She too beat males in Ireland....Vionnet has a excellent turf pedigree by Cambiocorsa..........pedigree includes California Flag..... kin loves this course...many winners on this tricky course in the past!

The pace looks fast on the front end Dyspy and Rowdy Gal with Woebegon and Painted Woman....... all pressing the front end.... I like the Euro´s and Former Euro´s.

RACE 9

A starter allowance for three year olds.... going the distance of one mile and a sixteenth on the main track....Pulpit´s Express trained by Mike Mitchell stretches out in distance.... looks to be the controlling speed in this wide open race. Es Luna a big good looking horse I picked to win at Hollywood Park when dropped into a tag for the first time sprinting.... He did win  at 30 to 1. I then watch this dude run a first time route 40 G race ....was on a off track... wet...He ran OK up for third... He then entered a highly regarded over his head allowance race... did not look good....Today he gets class relief...blinkers come off and he gets the rail.... and I hope he outruns his odds...good looking three year old with blue-blood pedigree..
