SUNDAY AT THE GREAT RACE PLACE

RACE 1

Maiden special weight race down the hill for four year olds and up. Kingpin Ryno was last seen in June at Hollywood. He is trained by Litt who looks to have him ready to fire off the lay-off. Victor re-rides. Rock Off exits a key maiden race where Dixieland Blues returned to win a state restricted maiden race. The blue blood here is World Renowned by A.P. Indy.... purchase for 900 G´s. He switches to the turf for the first time. Prime Number a first time starter has excellents works with excellent pedigree...do not sell short.

Remember these are four year olds and each and every one gelding and colt has had a rocky start to get to the race track...so hard to trust...

           1. Kingpin Ryno

           Value Pedigree play Prime Number

Daily Double 6 with 3 and 7

Pick Three 6 with 3,7 with 4,8

RACE 2

A modest field of low rent maidens sprinting at the tricky distance of seven furlongs. Frannie debut for trainer Mark Tsagalakis who should relish the added distance. She showed speed then was taken back in her debut... Mango Tart takes the big class drop...should improve here. Kvell the maiden pro ships back south to try sprinting again...one of these days. Warren´s Assassin cuts back to a sprint. She likes the dirt....she looms large for the win candiate....should get good odds with her. Her main rival looks to be Here Comes Bonnie trained by Cassidy....She drops back to a level where she looms large....She lost a heartbreaker two back.

            1. Warren´s Assassin
            2  Here Comes Bonnie
            3. Mango Tart

$20 place and show Here Comes Bonnie

RACE 3

A 32G claimer turf race for four year olds sprinting down the hill. Mandate Bliss faces his own age group. He has the right style to press the pace or sit right off the speed waitin then kicking clear down the lane.... warrants respect for the win. Gutshot straight will press the pace....he might be better on the dirt...but having said this.... he is talented and very game. He too warrants respect. Evening Island should stalk with Rosario re-riding.... fits with these.... A interesting live longshot is Floating Feathers...like the pedigree and racing style.....gets the acid test on class.........but he can flat out run with these four year old´s.

           1. Mandate Bliss

          Longshot Play Floating Feathers

RACE 4    Santa Ynez Stakes

A Grade 2 sprint for three year old fillies....Reneesgoizip beat Eden´s Moon....who came back last week and won by 11. She looks to be the controlling speed. Rowdy Gal a filly by Storm Cat seeks the hat trick as Roasario rides for Sadler. Candera is back sprinting where she is better at then routing for Baffert.

             1 Reneesgotzip

Start of the carryover in the Pick Six......Let´s see if we can put together a small size ticket....The first leg let´s single the gal that got the big speed number and beat Eden´s Moon. The second leg single Bejarano horse Glorified. I will single Absolutcat....then adds two horses in the 7th and 8th race....Tough race to end the final leg but I will use

4th    (2)
5th    (8)
6th    (7)
7th   (5,8)
8th   (5,7)
9th      8

RACE 5

Non winners of two on turf at the distance of one mile. The conditions of this race tells us that is race looks suspect to me if Glorified does not win. Glorified the favorite at this condition last time lost a heart breaker....Tab right back! Plantinum Mine trained by Jeff Mullins has her in top form....gets weight off....I expect a big performance.

             1. Glorified
             2. Plantinum Mine
             3. Geniality

RACE 6

A starter maiden 49 allowance .....both Absolutcat and Merlin Z should press the pace. Blinkers off for  Merlin Z who´s comeback race was excellent. I like Absolutcat who is on my watch list. Swiss Tart is a filly that I picked here on my blog....she looks to improve. If she runs back to last year she is a player.

            1. Absolutcat

Late Pick Four

6th   3,5,7,8
7th      5,8
8th      5,7
9th      4,8

RACE 7

A allowance turf sprint that looks wide open. A good betting race. High Devils a horse I picked last time out ran like a horse that needed a race after a long layoff. Today he will be much tighter and on the muscle. Obsess is fast and most likely will be on the front end early. The race might melt down as El Mirage King will be in the garden spot turning for home. He is the pace scenario winner in this spot.

               1. El Mirage King
               2. High Devils
               3. Obsess

$20 across the board on El Mirage King

RACE 8            PASEANA HANDICAP

The high weight Vision In Gold is coming off a very, very long layoff. My concern is the fitness of Vision In Gold. Ellis usually has his horses first time out cranked up to roll. I think Gold needs a race before unloading on her. The speed looks to be Ellafitz and Spirit Seeker....both contesting the early factions. The fastest horse is Ellafitz....come catch her if you can. Briecat who breaks from the outside can be one of the rabbits or stalk the pace if need be.

             1. Ellafitz
             2. Briecat
             3. Spirit Seeker

RACE 9

A low rent suspect maiden sprint ends the card. Trainer Gallagher sends out Nonrefundable....who finished second last time out. The horse to beat. G Ten a horse I `pick as a live first time starter ran like he needs more experience....Tab for improvement.

                    1. Nonrefundable
                    2. G Ten
