| MAJESTIC CITY BY DAVID MORANT |
RACE 1
A 8 G claimer going at a tricky distance of seven and half furlongs. Looks like a field of plodders to me....hard to endorse anyone here. Moonlight Alice might just be the speed of this race. Saint Cindy should stalk the speed then turn for home in front. She has faced much better company then theses. Gallant Victory might be the value bet in this suspect opener.
1. Moonlight Alice
2. Lisa Lulu
3. Saint Cindy
Longhsot Gallant Victory
RACE 2
This race might serve as a prep for the Santa Ynez stakes at the first of the year.....a small field for three year old fillies going six and half. Rowdy Gal trained by Sadler looked good with a three length victory over maidens.... She gets the rail....major contender who warrants respect. All of the fillies in this race are making there first start of the turf. Woebegon is taking a big drop in class after losing three consective stakes races. She has tactical speed and draws the good outside post as Joe Talamo rides her. One Magical Girl smoked high price maidens at Del Mar then tried stakes company which was way to deep for her.....she gets on the turf today......expect she might outrun her odds. Tasty Treat takes off the blinkers..... bred for the turf with speed.....makes her a contender in this small field.
1. Woebegon
2. Rowdy Gal
3. Tasty Treat
RACE 3
A slight drop in class for Big Tsimmis who ran a big race last time out facing better. Meter Me Gone did not come out of the gate quickly. She finish behind Tsimmis..... She finish full of run....beware! I like the class hike on Warren´s Flyer as she has back class after running in stake races....she is talented therefore she warrants respect big time here.
1. Big Tsimmis
2. Meter Me Gone
3. Warren´s Flyer
Pick three 2,6 with 1 with 4 cost $2.00
RACE 4
A low level maiden claiming sprint on the cushion track. Bob Baffert drops The Director big time after pressing a pace pace with maiden special weight race finishing third. A 750 G purchase selling today for 20 G´s. Soundness issues or really this is where he belongs. If his wheels have not come off he will win this dispite being on the rail........ 20 claims or so.....at the claim box. Oh I Win will again press the pace on the outside. Del Mar Johnny and Crestatorre will stalk both Director and Oh I Win.... Del Mar Johnny can set the pace or sit right behind the speed.....major contender here. Single Jewel....as the old adage goes one start does not make a career..... has been freshen up.... I like the pedigree and solid works with this maiden.
1. The Director--- had to make him the fav´´
2. Oh I Win.....speed deadly...might not stop
3. Del Mar Johnny
Longshot Crestatorre
RACE 5
A optional claimer for 62 G´s routing with a small field coupled with little front speed except Star Presence. She is a talented three year old filly trained by Bob Baffert. Both Star Presence and Toro Bonito look to press the pace here. Toro is making her first start since getting second at Del Mar. So Belle was third in the Providencia Stakes in April.....then won a optional claimer at Santa Anita on Nov. 3. She is trained by Ben Cecil and makers her first start on this surface. So Belle has won 2 of 7 starts in England and won on turf at Santa Anita Park. Capital Plan cutback in distance and switches surfaces today. She has the pedigree to take to the cushion track....look out!
1. Capital Plan
2. Star Presence
3. So Belle
Pedigree play Toro Bonito
RACE 6
A route race on the turf for two year old fillies. La Malaguena is stretching out to two turns. She is bred for this distance. She should relish the added distance with Joel Rosario riding her. Owned by Peachstreet stables and trained by Draysdale has a good turn of foot turning for home. Victor climbs aboard Twitch after musical chairs with the jockey colony. She sprinted then this daughter of Lemon Drop Kid stretched out and finished second....she looked very good ......... this time around she should handle the distance...Real Sharp a filly I picked last time out should relish this distance. She is both bred for distance and the turf....look out because she will be overlooked by the betting public today. First time starter Antrim´s Legend a high price filly by Gaint´s Causesway looks like a runner to me.
1. Twitch
2. Antrim´s Legend
3. Cavalletta
Longshot Wild In The Saddle
RACE 7
Six statebred female sprinters in this optional claimer going six furlongs. Hello Sugar trained by Jones was fifth behind stablemate Tiz Flirtatious on October 29th. She had to need her last start for Jones who does not drop her. She has good works under her belt. Filly Power has speed. She will press the pace after being off for two months. Maggie McGowan won her debut.....she looked very talented breaking her maiden....she then ran fourth in a highly regarded optional claimer in March. She returns today with solid works. We have not seen her in eight months......her showed great promise before getting sidelined......Beware ....look at the bullet worktab........ should fire a big race here...
1. Maggie McGowan
2. Hello Sugar
3- Filly Power
RACE 8
Six Furlong 20 G maiden race ends the nightcap. King Of Swing ran a respectable race despite being on the rail. He press the pace before giving it up down the lane. He could not find a easier bunch then theses maidens. Stubbord Streak was bet down in his debut......I like the pedigree of Roar....win early pedigree but Talamo climbs off might indicate that he needs more races to make him a contender. Husky Glory ridden by Flores has faced better. He has been freshen up for his money run.... beware! O´Neil adds the blinkers on Praise For Dubai who ran last week.... might be a good sign in this weak maiden race.
1. Praise For Dubai
2. King Of Swing....speed beware!
3. Husky Glory
Pedigree Play Roar..... Stubbord Streak
