RACE 1

A tough way to open today´s Friday Card.....in which each and every horse in this race has a legitmate shot to win except  Black Wildcat who still is a maiden.... I have no idea why he is in this race. Brown Is Beige can run on anything. He takes a slight hike up in class for Doug O´Neil. Nice Meidel is a turf sprinter. She comes in fresh. Blue Samurai gets Rosario to ride this shipper from Florida. Skipton Creek was last seen at the bullring...... He shortens up in distance and switches back to the turf for the hall of fame trainer Neil Drysdale. I really like how Berrios rides.... a talented jockey young in years but handles his horses in a professional cool manner.....fun to watch this guy. Mizzen Donald was on my watch list after winning his maiden race then stepped up and won a starter allowance. He then tailed off in form....but look he was claimed last time out. He has talent  and I expect the switch to the turf might wake this dude up.....no throw out.

RACE 2

A suspect field in this modest group routing on the main track. Brooklyn Rose switches to the cushion track for Hess. She has speed as Gomez takes over for Bejarano who rides the shipper Twight Memory. Youalwaysbemine smoked maiden at Hawthorne Park which is a dirt track....first time facing winners and a new track surface. Solis quickly turns around Real Rockport.....He must think that she came back strong after her race on Nov. 27th..... she might just to ready to run her best race to date..... a good value bet.

RACE 3

Will it be three in a row this week for trainer Mitchell who again drops Small But Mighty for the money run..... Cruzin Kitty has won four out of five....She is game at this level. Irridescent Red was second to Mighty but she needed that race after a layoff. I expect she show up at this level.  The pace looks hot and very contested on the front end..... Mighty might be able to sit off the pace and close down the lane.

RACE 4

I picked Gatherathehealer to win and she did that for Dan Hendricks..... I like the fact that he seems fit to step him up in class....bummer that the morning line is five to 2... I think his main rival is Hurricane Lake, a Mitchell claim last summer at Del Mar. Fifth Dimensation is back with his own age group...He won on the turf for 50 G´s. Every Ego has faced some talented horses ..... I think he is better going long. He should relish the added distance turning for home. He has changed barns.....expect a big run today-

RACE 5

Harris Farms and trainer Dean Pederson sends out the first time starter Adios Problemas....by Cee´s Tizzy.....looks very live first time out. Beautiful Strike trained by Miller ran a good race but why the break in time.... May....then comes back in Dec. is my concern. But having said that she has solid works under her belt. Both Candy And Nuts and One Luck Lady look poised in win there maiden.  I picked Sweetsoutheramber last time out. She broke poorly on the rail. She is bred to win early with Sweetsouthern Saint out of the mare by Notebook. Chantel rerides her today. Jeff Metz brings her back quickly for her second career start. One race does not make a career. I expect better today.... a good value bet with her pedigree.
On paper Beautiful Strike looks to be the one to fear with Miller and Bejarano hooking up. Iám taking a shot with Sweetsouthernambar to hit the board with double digit odds.

RACE 6

A sprint on the turf for optional claimers.....the pace scenario looks to have Got Even pressing the pace. Runstevierun should be right behind the speed. Both Sweep Swap and Champion Gate should be the one to fear turning for home. Sweet Swap looked awesome winning at Del Mar. He ran into a buzz saw with Secret Circle and Galex. He should love the drop in class. Moreover, the switch to the turf might be his home as he is bred for the turf...... Sidney´s Candy anyone....... ready to make a statement I expect.

RACE 7

A sprint on the cushion track non winners of two in 2011 for the claiming price of 40 G´s. Sea Rascal is razor sharp coupled with a cozy outside post makes him a legimate threat. He should get a good trip stalking the speed. El Martillo is better on this surface. He has been freshened up by Baffert. He has faced better. Mitchell claimed Lt. Hopeful where I expect he will run much better on this surface where he is three for three. He is the only true speed in this race....... Come Catch turning for home. Frumious trained by Bonde was freshened up then ran with Dance With Gamble and Cost Of Freedom at Fairplex getting a respectable third. He then tried the Cal Cup.....this a surely a big drop in class. He will be overlooked by the bettors today....... do not sell short as a number of horses in this field are switching distances and surface.

RACE 8

If Centenario De Oro runs like he did in his debut he will be tough to collar down the stretch. Vienna and Rosario hook up with Last Monte as he comes in fresh and more importantly has speed..... beware! Bejarano seems fit to ride a highly price son of vindication  Remember Mike who has been off two years...major equipment change as he is gelded.
