Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert sent out four of his Breeders' Cup contenders for works at Santa Anita on Sunday.
With Martin Garcia aboard, Sprint threat Euroears smoked five furlongs in a bullet :57 4/5, best of 67 moves at the distance on the fast main track. The Grade 1 star galloped out in 1:09 3/5, two seconds faster than the six-furlong bullet.
Unbeaten Juvenile Sprint favorite Secret Circle recorded the second-best clocking, zipping his five-eighths in :58 2/5. He worked in company with the unraced Visible Marq, who was caught in :59 3/5.
Ladies' Classic contender Plum Pretty sped six furlongs in a bullet 1:11 3/5, fastest of 20 trials at the trip. The Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks queen comes off a smashing, 7 1/2-length romp in the Grade 2 Cotillion.
Classic pre-entrant Game on Dude covered the same distance in 1:12 1/5, breezing, in company with the unraced Amazing Hearted, who officially went five furlongs in 1:01 2/5. The winner of the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap in March, Game on Dude most recently landed the Grade 1 Goodwood
