RACE 2

A four furlong dash for two year old for the claiming price of 32G's. Daylight Magic is bred for speed with a sire that sends out winners. The trainer years ago was excellent with babies. He has been cold the last several years with first time starters. Having said that he can and does get them to fire first time out. He sends out Ace High Flush who has the pedigree to win early. He warrants respect from the rail. D'wildbunch should step forward with a race under his belt. No solid opinion so watch the tote board for more clues.


RACE 3

Chinese Praise will be the betting favorite...but I like Tales Of Tigger who maiden win was a highly regarded key race where three horses in that race came back and won...do not sell short this one. Polly's Dancer who beat Tigger warrants respect in this race from slightly off the pace or can press the pace. Edgewick Road adds the blinkers.........has back class with a upswing in form. Edgewick Road is sharp.

Parable the clockers like.....in this maiden sprint race. Carla Gaines trains as Pedroza rides. Myhorseofcourse looks spotted for action. Personality rounds out the contenders with the short price favorite Valuation.

This race depends like most races on how the horses handle the tight corners..... Powerofvoodoo a head case is the morning line favorite..... Coin Flip..... in the air....Guided Wave because of my surfing background.......Pass this race!

The short price favorite Purple Stardust shows up with a for sale sign ........ but having said this.....Dean Greenman hits a 60 % second time off the claim....She shortens up to four furlongs....looks to good to be true....Come Catch her if her wheels do not come off....very short price. Three horses I like to beat this favorite...... Ale's Emerald drops big time in class....Shezagreatfriend has been improving with morning works...she nows needs to transfer that to the bullring.... and Cali Gal...has speed and tactical speed....

RACE 7

Victor Garcia sends out Best Logic. His last race was off form. I will give hima do over. He has speed...might try to get out to a easy lead at seven panels. This is below average bunch of cheap claimers for the condition of non winners of two. Le'Heat should be right behind Best Logic stalking ...then wait....then kick clear... On paper these are the most likely winners..... but this race has the look of being a suspect race to me. Call For Justice looms the upsetter closing from off the pace. Olympic Magic gets back to dirt after a dull race at Golden Gate...... should be closing if the speed melts down.

A sprint for 12 G's fits this race....Appealing Resume ran like a short horse that needed a race..... Hmm....has speed from the inside. Vikkelee got off the turf and did not take to the poly track.... at 20 to 1..... Great value bet..... This five year old mare has beat Sleep Tight and Come Home Quick.... remember that Caesar is hitting at 70% in second start with his barn. Period!

RACE 9          PHIL D. SHEPHERD STAKES


Bob Baffert sends out the talented filly Candera by Trippi. She posted a big speed number at Hollywood....the bettors hammered her down at the windows. Real Dream is very talented as well. She should love the distance.... I like her and 8 to 1 is a surprise to me.....she should be much lower odds....... but I expect to get 12 to 1.....Lasso From El Paso is another very talented filly.... she beat Wild Truffle who came back in the big race at Del Mar and finish second.

I hate to be Chalk Charlie but Martin Pedroza's horse the clockers like.......Zombyslayermrdarcy.....and so do I. One Bad Boy looks to be the main threat.....
