FAIRPLEX PARK OPENING DAY

RACE 2

A seven furlong maiden claimer race for 32G's for two year old fillies. Peter Miller sends out Kvell a short price favorite with the King of the Bullring riding.... Martin Pedroza. She should love the added distance with the inside post. She should get a perfect trip. Warren's Assassin drops from state restricted maiden company. She should improve. Lady's Plan takes off the blinkers. Her first start without blinkers she ran a fairly good race with slightly higher company. She is a player but Kvell looks good for her diploma today. The FTS Enlightened on the outside is bred for speed. She gets a bad post position. She is bred to win early. Beware!

                1. Kvell
                2. Lady's Plan
                3. Lively Belle

            Longshot Enlightened

RACE 3

A non winner of two since July 17th for the claiming price of 5G's. The pace scenario looks to have both Sea Viper and Majestic Peak pressing the pace. Nitro Active off for 4 months goes from route to sprint. He has never race this level before. He looks live fresh off the bench. Majestic Peak looks to say "Come Catch Me." He looks solid at this level. Good pedigree with West Point Thoroughbreds and a sneaky trainer that sent out winners at Del Mar. Jeff Bonde team up with Martin Pedroza with Claire's Top Choice....... has speed and will be pressing the pace in a race filled with pace. Halo's Law fits this bill as a speed type horse. The race sets up for Nitro Active. At this level he should gets a good trip stalking the speed.

            1. Nitro Active
            2. Claire's Top Choice
            3. Majestic Peak

             Longshot Proud Cardenal

RACE 4

A six furlong sprint for two year old maiden claimers for 32G's.
Yankee Dan has the highest speed figure in this modest field of maiden claimer's. Jersey Joe needs a better start. He should improve on this circuit. Super Candy a horse I thought would break his maiden sooner then this....drops in class big time. Handsome Harvey Jr a first time starter looks like a runner from the rail. I like the sire and the babies win early.

              1.  Handsome Harvey Jr
              2.  Yankee Dan
              3.  Super Candy

             Longshot Officer Jones

Pick Three  1,4,7,9 with  3,8 with 3  $8.00

RACE 5

A route race for non winners of two at the claiming price of 12 G's. Orbach will be well back after almost beating Edgewick Road at Del Mar. He broke is maiden routing at Golden Gate. The pace has Chop House George pressing the pace with Old Standard. Fanning sends out Born To Waltz who broke his maiden at Fairplex last year. This is his third start....having broke slowly last time out. I expect Regroup.... a slight head case to sit right off the pace and wait then kick home down the stretch. This race looks suspect to me....

               1. Regroup
               2. Chop House George
               3. Orbach

RACE 6

A sprint for Cal Bred maidens for the price of 32G's. Valen drops in class after facing better. He was the betting favorite that failed last time out at Del Mar facing state restricted 40 G maidens. Warren's Railbird drops in class. He has shown speed as he shortens up in distance. I expect he can take this modest field. Praise For Duabi gets the king of Fairplex. He drops big time in class. He has a bullet workout. A major player with this field. Our Classic Trip a first time starter...love the win early pedigree....

                1. Warren's Railbird
                2. Valen
                3. Praise For Duabi

               Longshot Our Classic Trip

$20 place and show Warren's Railbird

RACE 7

Six and half Furlongs for non winners of two claiming price 5G's.
Pay For Play has been off for more then a year. She will most likely be overbet because of the trainer and jockey connections. Warren's Rose looks to press the pace. She shortens up in distance. Dance Little Angel adds the blinkers for the first time. She is a big player with the drop in class. Afleet Sara is the sneaky who adds the blinkers for the trainer who claimed her two races back at Hollywood.

          1. Dance Little Angel
          2. Warren's Rose
          3. Pay For Play

$20 place and show Dance Little Angel

RACE 8

A dash for the claiming price of 8 G's.  Forty Dates gets the leading rider last year and the rail. A major player but this race looks suspect to me at this low rent level. Miss Peanut has speed. A slight head case that pops up to run a big race at double digit odds. Meadow Lake Queen can stalk the pace the kick clear to win this race. Fair Kisses a horse I sadly bet in the past owes me big time! Mike Mitchell sends out the favorite Small But Mighty. Angel Of Mystery looks live here.

               1. Small But Mighty
               2. Angel Of Mystery
               3. Fair Kisses

RACE 9

The feature race The Beverly J Lewis Stakes has a short field today. California Nectar won on the turf. She has beaten Zazu and Plum Pretty so she has talent. At such short odds....no value except in the Pick three and pick four. Skipton Creek is a improving filly. She should sit right off of California Nectar waiting for her to fold if she does melt down. The horse to beat is Cal Nectar.....period.... True Way Of Grace a head case filly seems to not want to pass horses down the lane. Sentimental Ballad adds the blinkers for the first time....She gets the test on class but she has been game in all of her races...... She might poise a problem with this fillies.

           1. California Nectar
           2. Skipton Creek
           3. Sentimental Ballad

RACE 10

Seven furlongs maiden claimer's for 25 G's. This is a good betting race with more contenders then pretenders. Craig Lewis sends out Lana's Smile who has been off for more then a year. His races that he has run beats this field. The question is one of fitness. But he did fire big time in his first time in his debut. He was claimed for 40 G's. Red Baron Barn owns Link Suances who has been knocking at the door with two seconds. Creston Cowboy has run races that put him in the mix. A slight class hike should poise no problem. Bigbari gets back to dirt after a turf experiment that was bad. This five year old has tactical speed. The FTS  Runforcandy has the best pedigree of this race.... He might need a race with this field.

           1. Lana's Smile
           2. Link Suances
           3. Creston Cowboy

         Longshot Runforthecandy
