SATURDAY HOLLYWOOD PARK

AMAZOMBIE BY DAVID MORANT

RACE 2

A modest field of the low rent bottom dwellers sprinting on the main track. The red hot David Flores re-rides Follow The Crowd. Marty Jones fires as her second race was much better then her debut. She has speed in a field with plodders. Homework gets back to what she is better at sprinting. She shown speed sprinting before. She warrants respect with the ground saving rail. Benicia Beauty drops in class. She should be stalking the speed turning for home.

          1. Follow The Crowd
          2. Homework
          3. Key Largo/Benicia Beauty

RACE 3

The pace scenario looks to have Practical Magic pressing the pace sprinting for 25 G's on the turf. Cheap speed but speed is deadly if left unchecked. Star Nicholas should be mid-pack rallying from off the pace. Jailbird Jimmy is coming back after eight months off. He looms large if he is fit and ready to rock. He has back-class and a above average turn of foot. My Last Tycoon is another horse who is coming back fresh. He was a game horse the first part of last year then tailed off. His works are solid and fast for Melvin Stute who usually works them slow. He warrants respect as a live upsetter. Tab for major improvement. It's hard to not look at a horse that David Flores is riding these days. Roaring Times is coming back fresh. He should stalk the pace then close with the garden spot on the rail. He is a player in a wide open race.

           1. Jailbird Jimmy
           2. Star Nicholas
           3. El Adelantado

RACE 4

A contentious filly maiden sprint race. Duda Ten a blueblood who takes the dive from maiden special weight to the cellar for trainer Julio Canani. She switches surfaces from the turf to the cushion track. His main man Martin Garcia takes the call. The speed with Duda Ten is Judy's My Angel. Peter Miller and Joel Rosario team up on this filly who should have the lead at the quarter and half mile pole. She drops in class and adds the blinkers. Girls Lacrosse should improve with a respectable race under her belt. She was steadied at the start then was five way finishing fourth out of 14 runners. No bad with a pedigree of Glided Time, a win early sire. Warren's Glitter a FTS looks live first time out. Check out her morning works.  A series of long works then a fast blow-out makes me think that she can fire big time out of the blocks.

          1. Judy's My Angel
          2. Girls Lacrosse
          3. Duda Ten
          4. Warren's Glitter

RACE 5

Sky Thrill will pressing the pace in this sprint race in the low-rent district. It is hard to trust any of these horses and a difficult start to the pick six. Mark Of The Warrior draws the outside post where he can stalk or press the pace if need be. He was claimed by Jack Carava where he goes first off the re-claim. Moreover, he shortens up in distance which is ideal. As I said Sky Thrill looks to be the speed after smoking a cheap field up north at Golden Gate. He posted a high Beyer speed number. He might wire the group or do the classic bounce in this shorten up sprint race.

              1. Mark Of A Warrior....shortens up
              2. Sky Thrill.....speed
              3. Don Elias M....interesting

RACE 6         SHOEMAKER MILE GRADE 1

1. Courageous Cat....the class of the race who was runner-up to Goldikova and Gio Pointi.

2. Blue Chagall....Rosario rides him for the first time. He gets the acid test on class but check out his bullet work-out. He might hit the board.

3. Smokey Lonesome..... He also gets the test on class as the top two leading riders are on Lonsome and Chagall. Tab for minor award if any.

4. Ashtar..... this is his state-side debut from Chile... He has been off for four months. If he takes to this course he just might out-run his odds....interesting long-shot with good pedigree.

5. Caracortado.....comes in fresh and live as he fires fresh last time he had time off.

6. Victory's Cry.... won this race last year. He is a stone cold closer.

7. Liberian Freighter....the speed of the race who gets no respect at the windows... No valid excuses for his last dull race.

             1. Courageous Cat...top billing
         2. Caracortado....fresh...
         3.  Liberian Freighter...speed

RACE 7

This is a race filled with talented Cal-bred maidens sprinting on the cushion track. Mint Humor exits a key maiden race in which a number of horses have come out of that race and won. Carla Gaines and Rosario team up with Mint Humor who is coming back fresh after a lay-off of seven months. He should press the pace through-out the race. Madeoftherightstuff has changed barns from Headley to Sadler. His debut was super after breaking slow then flying at the wire to get second. Tab the switch to Bejarano makes him a major player to get his diploma. Red Telsa trained by Baffert takes a hike up in class. He was claimed by Baffert last year. He sports some fast drills. Goodbye Charlie shortens up after a troubled trip last time out. He should be stalking the pace and has the speed figures and pedigree to make him dangerous. Tab for a big run today. As any FTS I like the Roar gelding trained by Marty Jones. Memphis gets the red-hot jockey David Flores. Jones usually is better with second time starter but he has in the past fired winners first time out.

          1. Madeoftherightstuff
          2. Mint Humor
          3. Goodbye Charlie
          4. Memphis

RACE 8

The race is void of any speed except Sterling Outlook who goes first off the claim by trainer Mike Mitchell. He is the trainer to fear off the claim. This is a fun race to bet and watch with many classy horses in the field. The last time Make Music For Me drop to this level he won. He has faced some tough dudes in his career. He warrants respect. Kid Edward is talented. He is coming back after a seeing him last fall in the Oak Tree Derby. He runs fresh and has been stringing along long fast drills. Beware.... If fit he is the scary horse in this field.  Hog's Hollow added blinkers three races back. He has improved big time with this equipment change. Tab the jockey and tab for a big time live longshot here at 20 to 1.

           1. Kid Edward....talented three year old
           2. Hog's Hollow....I like this guy
           3. Make Music For Me....classy

RACE 9

Amazombie is out to make a statement after a horrible DQ. He is the cream of the sprint division here. He loves this distance and loves this course... "It's his course." This race has talented west coast sprinters. Color Of Courage has looked awesome. He looms the threat from off the pace. He needs a clean break with this group. Smiling Tiger trained by Jeff Bonde runs great fresh. He is coming into this race with solid drills. He warrants major respect. Bench Points the three year old is facing older foes. He is 5 for 5 around one turn.... do not sell him short. Uh Oh Bango can flat out close down the stretch..... He is a contender.... Great race to watch and bet.

       1. Amazombie....beat him to collect
       2. Smiling Tiger....fresh and deadly
       3. Bench Points....improving young dude..

RACE 10

Unhitchthetrailor ran into Mejestic City..... He adds the blinkers as David Flores rides this short price favorite.

          1. Unhitchthetrailor...adds the blinkers for Flores
          2. Already There.... win early pedigree
          3. Valentine Boy..... solid works for FTS
