RACE 1

A sprint claimer at five and half furlongs in the week-end opener. The speed is Yankee Gone South... Come Catch him.... Kingsford Drive should get a good trip behind the Texas shipper. Special Kid switches to a sprint after going long for Carava. I have Ribat on my watch list..... He should be more on the muscle as he has to need his last start. He takes off the blinkers as it did not work in his last start. He did pulled hard and had some traffic problems in his last race. It looked better on video then what it appears on paper.  A plus... Gomez takes the mount. A good value bet.

RACE 2

I have always like Winsome Charm..... a game horse that I expect will improve with the blinkers off. Joe Talamo re-rides. Achak looks to be the horse to beat with Joel Rosario re-riding as Jerry Hollendorfer is hot first off the claim. Matto Mando might just try to steal this race.

RACE 3

Good Mojo looks live first time out for Jerry Hollendorfer. He has a win early pedigree. Gomez rides. Guidopanzini trained by Peter Miller has Joel Rosario riding this live first time starter. No solid opinion but these are the horses I like. Baffert sends them ready to fire from the get-go.. as Secret Circle looks like a runner to me. Check the tote board for more clues!





RACE 4

Three year old fillies usually do not hold there form. Meter Me Gone has tactical speed couplied with the fact that she likes this poly-track.  Dearly Concerned is her main rival. She loves this track.... The earth-breaking here the top two fillies of the race. Both need to catch the speed which looks to be One Bad Texter.

RACE 5          OSUNITAS STAKES

City To City maker her third start of the year. She has a killer kick as she is a grade two winner. A horse that gets the acid test on class is Kayce Ace a horse on my watch list. I like her ... good value bet. She is kin to Colonel John.....remember him...

RACE 6

Mint Humor ran into the first time starter Memphis and Madeoftherightstuff last time out. He did press a fasr pace and got collared. He will be bet but my concern is Rosario jumps off and goes to a first time starter Field Report a benchmark colt that looks like a runner. Ellis sends out He Be Fire N Ice....... looks like Ellis has him ready to rock and roll.

RACE 7

The two top fillies look to ne Orientatious and Home Sweet Aspen..... Orientatious lost a heartbreaker to American Lady in her debut. She then looked like a super star under wraps breaking her maiden. She is ultra talented.....and with six preps uner her belt should win first time out in this condition. Her main rivals are Home Sweet Aspen who was second in the Eight Belles race at Churchill Downs. She is talented as well. A Candy Ride filly that is a budding star as well. The dark horse is Hi Ho Yodeler who last year was a budding up and coming talented filly as well. She has been freshened up for this spot. A fun race to watch and bet. Short odds on both top fillies and double digit odds on Hi Ho Yodler.

RACE 8             EDDIE READ

1. Jeranimo....has been freshen up.....Bejarano bails out.... Gomez takes over.... He has won at this distance in a Grade 2 race. No throw out if he is fit and ready.

2. Goldwaki....good import....needs to show me more then what his did in his U.S. debut.......Great trainer!


4. LeRoy's Dynameaux........ is bred to run all day long. He gets a fast pace today as Acclamation and Caracortado will press the pace.

5. Smart Bid..... love the trainer of Animal Kingdom who I did pick in the derby on this site... Enough said.... Smart Bid is one game horse..... I can see him winning if Acclamation or Caracortado stub there toe.

6. Acclamation is one speedy one dimensational horse. He is not the only speed in this race. Today I expect the past will be quicker then what he used to...... Talamo rides Caracortado... Rosario rides him.

7. Caracortado....... always loved him...He was a super horse when he was two year old....one of the best on the west coast....Now four he is a raising turf star...... today looks like his day.....He should love the added distance.... Talamo learned his lesson not to make him run like Silky Sullivan....... he needs to wait and stalk the pace then kick clear down the lane.

RACE 9

Perfect Easter the shipper has never run this low before. He gets weight off as the bug boy goes for his first win at Del Mar. Scratch....

RACE 10

A modest field of maidens...... Cee's Tizzy off-spring that might show big improvement with the blinkers off is Suances Star. I like him at 30 to 1........ Good luck and thanks for reading my blog. Oh he gets a weight break as the bug boy goes for a daily double.....
