Monday Hollywood Park

TWIRLING CANDY BY DAVID MORANT

RACE 1

This sprint game up light on pure speed except Warren's Peacock who goes from route to sprint. Come catch her for trainer Jorge Gutierrez. She looks gone to me. Social Event won at this condition two months ago. She will pick up the pieces. She might be the scary horse if Warren's Peacock fades.  Banana Cream Pie last year would have crushed this field. Her last race was horrible but if you can forgive her then she fits if she runs her race two back.

            1. Warren's Peacock
            2. Social Event
            3. Banana Cream Pie

RACE 2

Jay Robbins does not send many horses at this low rent distrint sprint race. When he does you might want to take a look at her. The Red Hot Flores rides Lady's Taste. She must clear from the rail. Roman Chic has been freshen up for a trainer that fires coming off a lay-off. She adds the blinkers. Another FTS is Lorenbray who has a win early pedigree and great long works couplied with a bullet. She looks very live. Mizzen Donald by Smart Strike produces winners ealr in there career for trainer O'Neil.... Martin Garcia rides.

             1. Lady's Taste
             2. Roman Chic
             3. Lorenbray

RACE 3

A short allowance field running on the cushion track at a tricky distance of seven and a half furlongs. Sparkling Style looked awesome smoking the field in her debut for trainer Bob Baffert. We will not get that kind of odds on her today. She is the controlling speed of the race. Screaming Regal will stalk her and if Style falters then Regal might inherit the lead down the lane. Bench Glory first time out beat a modest bunch but she did it in style from off the pace. This distance is right up her alley......therefore do not sell her short in a short compact field.

         1. Sparkling Style
         2. Screaming Regal
         3. Bench Glory

RACE 4

A salty cast of old and new veterans sprinting on turf for a claiming price of 25 G's. Get Funky loves to win races. He steps up after beating softer. The Whammer is press the pace who looks in form and is fit. Bradium is very sharp after finishing second to Mesa Heat. Two races back Dapper Gene dropped to this level and won. Three horses that never have race this low before. One old dude Cayambe and once would have smoked this field. Kelly Leak who adds the blinkers for the first time never has race this low before. Format V is the other dropper who fits with Bejarnao re-riding. A difficult wide open turf sprint.

           1. Kelly Leak

RACE 5

Cabo shortens up in distance to five furlongs....Has he found a field he can beat at the morning line of 12 to 1..... Naturaliast will stalk Cabo inheriting the lead if or when Cabo falters down the lane. Creston Cowboy has speed and tactical as speed as well. He is a player. Blinkers go on Party Ruler as P-Val tries his hand. The first time starter Papason trained by Mandella looks very live.... the last time this trainer and jockey combo... Last time they hooked up for a winner...paid doubled digit odds. Blind Magic has speed... really do not know what happened in his last start. He has weird workout tab.... if healthy he should like this distance with speed type numbers.

        1. Papason

RACE 6

Attar Of Rose ran like a horse that need a tighter. I expect with her closing style she will have more turn of foot down the lane to the wire. Samba School will be a short price horse and most likely overbet. Bab At The Babster drops in class. She has never run this low of a claiming price before. She has gas with P-Val trying to steal this race on the front end. Dave's Revenge is ahead case that looks to pop a big race after a cold 10 and 11 season. She was once a classy talented runner. She looks to be on the improve with tactical speed to win this race. The pace is Samba School and Bab At The Babster pressing a contested lead. Dave's R can stalk the speed and if they falter she has above average turn of foot to win.

           1.  Dave's Revenge
           2.  Bab At The Babster
           3.  Attar Of Rose

RACE 7

Righteous Renee last summer ran in the Del Mar Debutane finishing seventh. She drops back to the maiden ranks for trainer Melody Conlon. Mayakoba Mesa trained by Bill Spawr has speed. She exits a key maiden race where a number of filly have come out of that race and won last fall. She looks to be the controlling speed. Baffert sends out Glamorista... a first time starter. Forever Neda will do her fly by at the wire....she looks very live here. Izshelegal goes route to sprint fot trainer Terry Knight. She looks like a sprinter after running in stake races. Do not sell her short for a upset.

         1. Izshelegal
         2. Righteous Renee
         3. Glamorista

RACE 8           Royal Heroine Mile

1. Andina..... great race last time out as she lost a hearbreaker to Wild Mia in the Redondo Beach Stakes. She is fit and on the upswing.... needs to bring her A game to the party. She is a contender with a short field.

2. Harmonious by Dynaformer last summer was hot she is trying today to stop a three race losing streak for trainer John Shirreffs. Harmonious brings a perfect three for three local record into the Royal Heroine. She is the high weight of the race spotting each rival six pounds. She will stalk the race as her regular rider Joel Rosario will ride her.

3. Late Cuddle trained by Jerry Hollendorfer takes off the blinkers. She was the winner of a second level allowance race at Hollywood in October. In the Buena Vista she finished a disappointing seventh when last seen. She gets the acid test on class.

4. Wild Mia by Wildcat Heir she had early speed then in her last three races was taken off the pace. In the Redondo Beach Stkaes making her course debut she flew home from the back of the pack to deny Andina the win. The pace here might not be that fast but I expect she will stalk the speed or be the speed if need be which looks to be Celtic Princess.

5. Givine....has a awesome turn of foot. She flew home to collar Separate Forest by a half length in the sprint race The Great Lady M. She is trained by Julio Canani who in France she won four times and place twice in stakes races at this distance. She warrant major respect for the win.... very talented!

6. Celtic Princess....the controlling speed who almost wired the field in the Gamely Stakes going nine panels. The former Brazillian Horse Of The Year shortens up one furlong here. She is trained by AC Avila and should clear from post six. Bejarano rides this classy filly

        1. Givine
        2. Harmonious
        3. Celtic Princess

RACE 9

A short five furlong sprint race for maidens ends the July 4th nightcap. Shane Daniels goes from the rail to the garden spot on the outside. I expect he will clear pressing the pace at this short distance. He looms large for the win as he drops to collect for jockey Tyler Baze. The FTS  Thunder Ali gets a deadly trainer and jockey combo....do not sell this one short as I expect P-Val will dual for the lead also. Another Bertrando looks live first time out...with the morning line 3 to 1.

          1. Shane Daniels
          2. Another Bertrando
          3. Thunder Ali
