Closing Week Hollywood

FIRST DUDE BY DAVID MORANT

DREAMY KID BY DAVID MORANT

                           THURSDAY ANALYSIS

RACE 1     One Mile Turf Starter Allowance

Bullybullybully switches jockeys and had to need his last start. He takes off the blinkers for Mulhall. A player pressing the pace with Vote Approval. A wide open field:

          1. El Saino
          2. Bullybullybully
          3. Vote Approval

RACE 2

Kiss My Swiss looked great beating up on low level claimers last time out. She jumps up two levels in class but the field is modest. She will press the pace with Miss Peanut. Forty Dates should be in a good stalking position for trainer Marty Jones.

        1. Kiss My Swiss
        2. Forty Dates
        3. Really Elegant

RACE 3     Turf Sprint for fillies and mares for 25 G's.

Both Sleep Tight and Cactus Flyer will be on the lead. Sleep Tight I expect will be out front with Flyer right behind. Sleep Tight shortens back to a sprint. She is better at this distance. Cool Haleigh has back-class. She should get a perfect trip from the outside post. I like her if the speed melts-down.

          1. Sleep Tight.... top billing
          2. Cool Haleigh
          3. Subpoena The Dress

RACE 4

This race just might be the hardest race to pick a winner. If you are playing the pick six this is a spread. No speed except maybe Smil'n From Above who goes long after sprinting. On Your Mark drops from facing much better company then these. Bejarano stays makes me to believe that this plodder might be the one to fear. Come Catch Smil'n From Above in a paceless race.

            1.  Mary Wanna Be..... bred to run all day long
            2. On Your Mark.....drops to collect
            3. Town Belle

RACE 5      TURF MAIDEN SPECIAL CAL-BREDS

           1. Cranky Jack...exits super race
           2. Madeoftherightstuf....lost heartbreaker
           3. Delta Fix... FTS that looks live

RACE 6

A tough first level allowance sprint race with Baffert sending out two horses who are maiden breakers.  Dubber and Master Chef looks to press a fast pace. Chiloquin has tactical speed while facing better company. He has the highest speed number in the field. Gator Warrior a high price blue-blood is facing winners for the first time. It's hard to say how good he is plenty of up-side to him. Quinton's Destiny sure looked great winning his maiden special weight race from off the pace. He is facing older foes and winners for the first time. But having said that do not sell this Yes It's True gelding short for trainer Dan Hendrick.

            1.  Chiloquin
            2.  Quinton's Destiny
            3.  Gator Warrior

RACE 7

An open allowance for fillies and mares turf sprint race. Unzip Me returns after three months off for trainer Marty Jones. She had a respiratory infection so she has been given time off. The speed is Unzip Me and Separate Forest. Broken Dreams should stalk both Unzip Me and Separate Forest. Unzip Me a seven time stake winner. She has a score to settle with Separate Forest who got a nine pound weight break beating Unzip Me. Today both fillies get the same weight.

       1. Unzip Me...top billing
       2. Tenacious Tina... improving

RACE 8

A maiden claimer for two year old California-breds. Pedlars Way has the garden spot on the rail. He is dropping after facing much better. This looks to be a modest field of maidens. Run For Miles is trained by the red-hot duo of Pedroza and Miller. He has been training fast.

           1. Pedlars Way
           2. Insightful Boy/ Run For Miles
           3. K J's Maddog
