THURSDAY AT HOLLYWOOD PARK

                    HOLLYWOOD THURSDAY ANALYSIS

IRISH GYSPY BY DAVID MORANT

RACE 1

A five furlong Cal-bred filly race opens today's card. The line-up includes:

1. Gypsy Friday.... a daughter by In-Excess who is bred for speed with a win early pedigree. The sire hits at 16% first time out. The dam by Royal Academy has sent out two starter and has two wins. You can beat that.... couplied with a good post position. A first time starter.

2. Warren's Amber...... A Warren filly by Broadway Moon trained by Jorge Gutierrez. She has been working fast in the morning time. Do not sell short.... win early pedigree.

3. Best Present Ever.... A first time starter by Unusual Heat....adds to her charm....working solid for her debut.

4. Platinum Rules.... good dad and mom pedigree by Storm Cat and Cee Tizzy.....looks very live....

5. Molly's All Heart...... the second favorite in this race. Solis trains this filly as Go Go takes the call.....

6. Roar Baby Roar.....great debut with speed makes her the filly to beat......3 to 5 will be the odds at post time.

         1. Roar Baby Roar

RACE 2

A sprint for three year old fillies. A short field with three fillies who have run with each other before. Forty Paces, Meter Me Gone and Afillyation have faced each other. All three are hard to separate. Forty Paces gets off the turf and takes another drop in class for the pay-check. She shortens up couplied with the fact that she might be the speed of this race. Meter Me Gone loves the cushion track as takes a class hike to 32 G's. She should get a perfect trip stalking the speed. She warrants respect. No Afillyation gets off the turf after being the betting favorite with Forty Paces. She faded to dead last her last start couplied with the fact that Victor jumps off and Talamo rides. I expect she is better then what appeared in her last race.

Bob Baffert sends out Tuesday's With P who dropped from maiden special weight to win a open 50 G maiden race. A daughter of Ghostzapper has tactical speed with talent to win this race. She has been off for two months. She has solid fast works in tow.

Michailasheartlite is no throw-out. She has been off for seven months.  She has won two races at this track. I expect a big performance as she looks ready to fire fresh in a wide open three year old filly sprint race. This will be fun to watch and bet.

            1. Tuesday With P
            2. Michailasheartlite
            3. Meter Me Gone

RACE 3

A five furlong baby race for two year old guys. The line-up includes in this 40 G maiden race:

1. Arethereanycookies.... drops in class with Rosario taking the call. I expect much better with the post position and a race under his belt.

2. Big Baze.....ran third in his debut. Not bad and not great....

3. Super Candy.... added blinkers with a switch to Talamo makes this dude a contender. He is improving each start.

4. Warren's Bandit..... by Affirmed....... I like this young dude.... He has been working up a storm...... He looks very live here.

5. Oh Righty.....He was hammered in his debut....short price in this spot.

6. Wise Guise....has speed and gets off the rail. He will be well bet Today.

7. Swiss Game.... one race does not make a career.

8. Sunny Superstition....trained by Doug O'Neil with a win early pedigree who is working solid for his debut..... Watch the tote board...

9. Gumpy Small Mouth.... trained by Peter Miller..... check out the pedigree by Siphon..... should fire fast.... do not sell short... I like this dude for a big performance Today.

         1. Gumpy Small Mouth
         2. Warren's Bandit
         3. Oh Righty

RACE 4

A restricted non winners of two race for the claiming price of 16 G's. Bold Type has to need his last start. Tab the switch in jockeys to P-Val. It's hard to be chalk charlie but Irish Coral who broke his maiden at Golden Gate in a maiden special weight race looks spotted for action. He has been freshen up after racing in March. His works indicate he is ready to rock and roll. It's hard to get excited with this short field.

          1. Irish Royal

RACE 5

This turf sprint is filled with speed up front. Both Queen Mariles and Miles Rule will press the pace. Queen Mariles claimed by AC. She smoked a field of 16 G claimers in her last race. She switches surfaces for the first time. The class of the race is Miles Rules the Melair Stake winner. She has been off since May. She too is running on the turf for the first time. Both gals should like the turf.

These will be the top picks by the public in this wide-open turf race. Avid trained by Richard Mandella fired big time first time out at Del Mar when she beat both Righteous Rene and allowance winner Big Tiz. Rosario goes to Miles Rules and Bejarano the leading rider takes the call. He won with her first time out. Check out her works... she is training fast with long drills. Lunch Time Diva has the perfect closing style in a speed filled race. She will need her A game down the lane to beat these gals. She does warrant respect.

               1. Miles Rules
               2. Avid........talented
               3. English Royal..... do not discount

RACE 6

The speed will be Western Smoke who shortens up in distance for the new trainer Peter Miller. Afleet Deal will stalk the pace. Deal was re-claimed by Carava who figures to get a perfect trip if Smoke melts down. If Smoke gets a easy relaxing lead then Western Smoke might just wire this field. Dee Dees Legacy and Ribald are closers and will pick up the pieces down the stretch. Ambassy has been off for a year but in this race....well training firing bullets for his comebacker.

           1. Ambassy
           2. Afleet Deal
           3. Western Smoke

RACE 7

The feature race at the distance of one mile on turf/ The line-up includes all guys except one filly.

1. Novrsky..... runner-up twice in seond-level allowance races. Joel Rosario rides as Chantel Sutherland goes to Logical Single. He should have won his last race as he waited then waited some more then kicked clear getting second. He shortens up in distance and is the horse to fear.

2. Renegade Storm.... Marty Jones trains as Gomez rides this cloer. He needs to gey more involved sooner then later. He will be closing.

3. Lucky Primo.... might be over-looked by the public. He is the speed of the race. He will be out winging on the lead and might be hard to collar if no one goes with him.

4. Logical Single..... is a filly racing with the boys.... A five time winner.... She won her last race and no-one in this field has won there last time. She should be stalking behind Primo most of the race.

5. Nahem....the winner of the Snowchief Stakes two bac. He faces older foes today. He looked awesome beating Woodman's Luck at the wire. He should relish the distance.

6. Baton Roo.....talented horse who ships in from Golden Gate. Roo trained by Mathis looks very live ...... do not sell short this four year.

           1. Baton Roo...talented
           2.Novrsky....... favorite at post time
           3. Logical Single....love how is won...

RACE 8

             1. Warren's China Doll....win early pedigree with excellent works make her my pick.

             2. Favorable..... red-hot Mitchell claim
