RACE 1

A two year old baby race for maiden-claiming opens the first race of the week at Hollywood Park. Friendly Mary drops in class after pressing the pace in her debut. Come Catch her to collect. Kvell had a somewhat trouble trip in her debut. If Mary gives it up down the lane then Kvell and Chris's Contender look prime to take down Friendly Mary. I like the filly training up north shipping down to face this modest bunch.... The daughter of Salt Lake.......Ressie Marie... looks very live with a win early pedigree.

RACE 2

A 10 G sprint in the low rent district with a race void of any speed except cheap speed Point Of Origin. He looks to be over-taken at the mile pole. He just might surprise us and stay around longer with this field. Silver Stenson Man will be a very short price. His main rival is Warren's Summergold which I have liked in the past.

RACE 3

A maiden sprint for the claiming price of 75G's. Tiz Golden trained by Ellis is coming back as a four year old with more then one year off.  Ron has put back to back gate works into him. His last morning work is fast. Ellis can flat out get them to fire after a long lay off.  

Peter Miller has a combacker in Tart N Smart. He adds the blinkers after showing good early speed at Del Mar in his debut last year. He looms large to fire in his second career race.

Meadow Race was claimed out of the Richard Mandella barn for trainer Doug O'Neil for 50 G's. A Dixie Union colt who has talent gets a new rider today as Bejarano jumps on.

As to any live first time starter I like Oh So Macho trained by John Shirrells..... his works are modest but do not be fooled with these morning workouts.

RACE 4

Mike Mitchell claimed Diamond Journey who goes long today. She has three win out of nine career starts which makes her a contender. Safe Word a filly by Benchmark goes long. She broke slow and she gets off the rail which is a plus. Bejarano goes to Screaming Regal who I pick in her last start at 12 to 1 odds. She ran into a buzzsaw almost defeating Miles Rules. She will be a short price filly. If she runs back to her last race she will be hard to beat. Her main rival is the filly on the rail Meltarib. She broke her maiden on the turf. Her first race was on the dirt. I expect that she will transfer her form to the cushion track

RACE 5

The speed looks to have Golden Jet pressing the uncontested pace. This is a unreliable weak mess of a race and hard to trust any of these horse. Pico Pico takes off the blinkers. He is training solid for Victor Garcia. At this level he is a major player and warrents respect with a value bet for the win and place pools. I like him!

RACE 7

The pace scenario looks to have speed pressing the pace. LA Weekend looks to be winging it out on the lead. Lucky Mr. K had to need his last race for trainer Jeff Bonde. He should be stalking the pace with Liberal Arts and Bertran Hill.

RACE 8

The speed is Alala who goes long after sprinting. This turf maiden race has a number of contenders. I landed on Warren's Today who should be flying by at the wire under Victor Espinoza. This daughter of A.P. Indy looks to have found a home on the turf.
