Racing from the Hollywood Underground

DUBAWI HEIGHTS BY DAVID MORANT

On Memorial Day, the feature race the Gamely, Dubawi Heights stalked the pace.  Then won her fourth straight victory. Celtic Princess who was game down the lane got a well deserved second.  I got fooled again by Malibu Pier who I have said many times that she is a under-achiever......... Cozi Rosie picked up the check for third.  Dubawi Heights having won four straight is a budding superstar for the young trainer from England Simon Callaghan.......

RYEHILL DREAMER BY DAVID MORANT

In the American Handicap you could not script a better pace scenario then to have The L.Freighter be sent to the lead with Sidney's Candy. A perfect ride by Talamo who waited then geared down Ryehill Dreamer down the stretch to collar Sidney's Candy at the wire. Great win by Ryehill Dreamer.

The best sprinter on the West Coast is not Camp Victory. Amazombie got robbed again as he did at Del Mar last summer. The officials got it wrong again and placed Amozombie third over the two horses he beat. They did not take down Game On Dude then they should not have taken down Amazombie down in the Los Angeles Handicap on Monday. Moreover, Chantel and Smith had a hole to go thru....... it looked to me that Chantel drifted into Amazombie........ what is Smith going to do..... He did the right move in my opinion. It seem's like everytime there is a incident in these big races Sutherland is riding on the horse that caused the trouble.  Is it bad luck or inexperience with big races and big results. Your Call~

HEART-BREAKER

Cook Inlet was hand ridden down the stretch. He got collared down the lane with a tough lost. Sadler will have this guy cranked up soon to break his maiden.

Kingpin Ryno....... another tough defeat down the lane. Joseph Litt will have Ryno ready to rock and roll next time out.

Hoorayforhollywood looked like a winner at the top of the stretch. He got collared at the wire..... A tough defeat by Storm Cat.

Winners

Warren's Blossom first time on turf looked good in a highly regarded allowance race for Jorge Gutierrez. I expect stake bound for her.

Smash was game in victory for the red hot trainer Bob Baffert.

Rumor trained by Richard Mandella learned how to rate from off the pace.  She looks ready to climb the ladder in class. Stakes bound next time out.
