THURSDAY AT HOLLYWOOD

                             HOLLYWOOD PARK

ORIENTATIOUS BY DAVID MORANT

RACE 1

Afleet Deal has speed and will set the pace after a respectable third at seven panels. Come Catch Him..... It looks to have Trumpet Player Jay and Twoatten Tenattwo stalking the pace. 2 at 10 ...10 at 2 has a fairly above average turn of foot. He will be closing for Dan Henrick's stable. Chris And Charlie shortens up in distance after finishing behind Afleet Deal in last race. He can stalk the pace. A player as well. The upsetter is Serra Song who had to need his last race. A lightly raced seven year old with back-class.

             1. 2 at 10 10 at 2
             2. Afleet Deal
             3. Serra Song

RACE 2

The filly Sweet Baguette ran at Pleasanton in her debut. She finish a respectable second in her first start. Dean Peterson who won with Logical Single on Sunday looks spotted for action. Magic School ran a winning race getting third in her debut. She will be a short price filly. This In Excess filly should relish the new surface to the turf. Nana Beach is a stone cold closer who fits with speed numbers and will be over-look by the public. Alala just had a horrible start two weeks ago. I expect she is better then what she appears on paper. As for first time starters Lady Shazzam looks bred to win early and bred for speed..... beware of her.

            1. Sweet Baguetta
            2. Magic School

.

RACE 3

A seven panel maiden state bred race fits the bill. Warren's Tiger drops in class after facing much better company then these. He finish second two races back at this very level. He will be a short price favorite. TapforTexas drops in class from open maiden special weight. He should love this cutback in distance. He warrants respect will a stalking trip right off the pace. Red Dwarf was hammered down by the public in his last race as the betting favorite. He broke very slow and one race does not make a career. I expect much better this time around. Charlie'sboywins will do his fly by at the wire. Do not dismiss. He needs some racing luck to clear from the rail.... A player with double digit play offs. As for any first time starter Darrell Vienna who looks to have a really live first time starter Link Suances.

              1. Warren's Tiger
              2. Red Dwarf
              3. Link Saunces

RACE 4

The pace scenario looks hot and very contested on the front end. I sure like how Desperate Measures won when she dropped in class on May 12th. A daughter of Lucky Pulpit gets P-Val who will rate her just slightly off the speed. She looks spotted to run a big race here. No Afillyation like this course. She is coming off a lay-off. She is 3 for 6. Lake Oscela a three year old filly by Salt Lake has the speed numbers to make her a contender at double digit odds. She tries the turf for the firs time. I like her as a live longshot. Nice Meidel tries a new surface. She was claimed by Jack Carana two races back for 30 G's. Tab the switch to Joel Rosario. Closer To Love will stalk off the pace. She has excellent pedigree to makes her a player was well. Forty Paces will be stalking the speed and has an above average turn of foot. She might be the favorite of the race.

              1. Desparate Measures....like the way she won
              2. No Afillation.....loves this course
              3. Forty Paces..... favorite at post time.
              4. Lake Oscela....... do not dismiss

RACE 5

             Cook Inlet

Pick Three  1,3,4,6,8 with 5,6 with 1,2

RACE 6

            1.  Trueno
            2.  Warren's Kong
            3. Nuggets Please

RACE 7

Subpoena The Dress will be a short price. She goes long for the first time in her career.  Subpoena The Dress has faced claimers being the only horse in this field to win more then one. This might just be the spot to take a stand against her. Donner Wasser ran a respectable third in her eight month comeback race. She exits a highly regarded state bred turf route race where Caitie's Secret who won came back and finish third in a open company race last week-end. Streamline Baby exits the same race which Donner Wasser ran with. She was second and closing at the wire. She warrants respect today. The X factor is Burton's Angel who drops in class coupled with the fact that she goes from dirt to turf for trainer Rafeal Bucerra. The pace scenario looks to have the horse on the rail as the lone speed. Mavicsa will be over-looked again by the public winning a maiden 75 G race sprinting. The trainer Librando Barocio is hitting at 50% with sprint to route angel. The rail is clipping at a high rate also. I like this filly....

             1. Burton's Angel
             2. Mavicsa
             3. Donner Wasser. Streamline Baby

RACE 8

A 40 G maiden sprint race for two year olds ends the card:

1. Rio Good.... a first time starter who gets the rail with Joel Rosario riding him for trainer Gary Sherlock who has been very live this year with babies. His works are solid in this modest looking field.

2. Orginal Five.....love the connections here.... Wygod and Lewis with Victor taking the first call. A first time starter who has a win early pedigree by After Market.

3. Jersey Joe.....Metz and Scott team up with this first time starter. Good post position. The dam has five winners from five starters so beware..... Good win early pedigree that will be over-looked by the puublic.

4. All Squared Away... Peter Miller trains this gelding by Bellamy Road.... remember this dude.  With a race under his belt he should move forward big time with Martin Pedroza riding.....Tyler Baze jumps off.

5.  Nebikon.... a second time starter by Mike Harrington...... another one of his Swiss Yolder geldings...

6. Deejenerit....... blinker goes on after running in the same race with All Squared Away and Nebikon..... this might be the change that makes him more focus in this race.

7.  Ruler Of Dubai..... has solid works..... looks very live here.

8. Respuesta Solida.....He had a somewhat hard debut when he was very wide..... really wide. He only missed by three lengths. With a race under his belt he looks spotted for action if he gets to a early lead....lot's to like.

9. Super Candy... has run with five of these horses..... He has the highest speed number in this field. He ran a big second last time out.

10. Swiss Game.....by Swiss Yolder trained by Mike Harrington... He just sends out live runners as babies.... A Major Player.

            1. Swiss Player
            2. Rio Good
            3. Orginal Five
