SUNDAY AT HOLLYWOOD PARK

                             HOLLYWOOD PARK

RACE 1

A maiden route for the claiming price of 30 G's. One Bad Romance a short price favorite in the opener. She drops after facing much  better company. She had not run over the cushion track is his only draw-back. Zees Chris has run over the track here. She is a mid-pack plodder. A short price too. Napote adds blinkers coupled with the drop in class makes this guy live as a real contender. Skipton Creek takes a  huge drop from special weight open company.  She should move forward against 30 G's maidens.

                      1. One Bad Romance
                      2. Zees Chris

RACE 2

I like the way Gumption won two weeks ago. She is sharp and loves this turf course. Van Brit warrants respect after winning at Santa Anita. I like the horse that got fourth getting beat by Farley Star. Her third start  after a lay-off. She drops to collect. Initial Impression is my pick.

             1. Initial Impression

$20 place 5

RACE 3

A two year old filly  maiden sprint race. The line-up:

1. Silent Sue....pressed the pace dualing for the lead. She ran a hell off a first race. Bejarano goes to Bluegrass Story. Gomez takes the call for Solis. Mix signals but very live with the rail position.

2. Heleonor Ruby..... AC usually works them slow and steady as the old adage goes....... but she has fired lighting in the morning time.... looks very live as a first time starter by Storm Cat. We saw yestersay as LA Freeway....won..... sired by Storm Cat.

3. Bulletgirl....she has the most racing experience of the group. She had a somewhat trouble trip breaking bad in her last race.. Minor award if any.

4. Friendly Mary.... First time starter by Proud Irish...... like the pedigree but let see a race first.

5. Too Sharp...... looks like a real live runner with Cee Tizzy as a sire........plus the fact that Mike Harrington and Tyler Blaze win races as a team.... beware! Solid works....

6. Bluegrass Story.....debuts for the hot trainer and jockey combo of Jerry Hollendorfer and Bejarano. She is kin to Goodbye Norma Jean. She has a solid work-out tab....look out

RACE 4

A first condition allowance route race with a number of salty characters that can win this. Pure Class has won this condition before. She runs for a 40 G tag that is how she is eligble. She is coming back from a nine month lay-off is my main concern. Sadler and Rosario hard not to like....... check out her last bullet work-out....... she looks like she is ready to win again.

Spectacular Sky tries older here and longer also. She is trained by Marty Jones and this daughter of Pulpit looks like she will climb the class ladder and strike a big race at this condition. A Major Player.

Hopeful Union trained by Ellis changes to the cushion track. This surface switch might do her good. She is a talented filly by Dixie Union.

Bob Baffert sends out Toro Bonito....who is one win out of 20 starts. She is fit after running over the cushion track getting a respectable second.

Crazyforlovingyou can run on any surface. She has tactical speed with good pedigree. Do not just throw her out.

          1. Pure Class
          2. Spectcular Sky
          3. Hopeful Union

$20 across the board on Pure Class

RACE 5

Alley Hondro ran into two buzz saws his last two races. He looks to have softer factions this time around. Tab him for a smasher...b/c of the lack of speed. I like Squad too here.

           1. Alley Hondro
           2. Squad
           3. Spring Forth

$20 place and show Squad

RACE 6

The blue blood dropping to the bottom is the Golden Gate shipper Point Mugu trained by the hall of famer Neil Drysdale. Gomez takes the call. The pace will be Dancing Joy on the lead. Come Catch her if u can~!  Rightful Image will stalk the pace. He should love the added distance today. He drops from 50 to 30 to collect his check. Cantona drops slightly after almost winning a 40 G maiden at this distance.

Pick 4     1,2,3,6,7 with 2,4,5,7 with 6,8 with 1

cost $20

RACE 7

Come Catch Jax El on the lead. She gets the acid test in class but she is a speedy filly. Don't hold your breath on the final furlong. U R All That I Am won this race last year. She is a game pro. If Jaz El stops down the stretch then U R and Lady Railrider will wait and both have a quick turn of foot. Lady Railrider is sharp coupled with the fact that I think she is on the upswing with her current form.

           1. Lady Railrider
           2. Jax El
           3. UR All That I Am/ Logical Single

RACE 8

            1. Orientatious
            2. Forever Neda
            3. Sixfifityfour

RACE 9

Non Winners of two.......hard to trust this field. On Paper  B's Lucky Strike if ever he meets a softer field.....it's this race. Looking For Candy got third last month at this very level. Do not bet Knapps horses much.... but..... Coloursoftheglen goes from route to sprint....a player as well. Chop House George has a big shot if fit. He has not run in over a year but has been training solid for his comebacker. He cuts back in distance and gets the rail for Joe Talamo.

              1. Chop House George
              2. B's Lucky Strike
              3. Coloursoftheglen
              4. Looking F Candy
