SATURDAY AT PIMLICO

                            PREAKNESS DAY

Race 6           CHICK LANG STAKES

Vengeful Wildcat made a killer move and just missed in the Bayshore. This son of Vindication warrants respect. Escort gets off the turf after a horrible experiment on turf. He won two straight races on dirt at Gulfstream Park. He is bred by Clairborne Farms and Todd Pletcher trains. He posted a big speed figure breaking his maiden. Road Ready looks ready to rock and roll. He had a trouble trip in his comeback race. I bet him in his maiden debut.

            1. Vengeful Wildcat....unlucky in Bayshore
            2. Escort..... gets back to dirt
            3. Road Ready.....bet this horse last year
            4. Chip Shot.......deadly trainer team

Race 7          JAMES W. MURRY STAKES

A wide open one mile turf race fits this bill. The speed or the controlling speed is Joes Blazing Aaron. He cuts back in distance which looks to be ideal from this three year old son of Dehere. This is a drop in class after pressing the pace in the Bluegrass Stakes. Michael Maker has put together some blazing works in the morning time. Beware~` If the speed backs up then Master Dunker who finished behind Animal Kingdom has a excellent turn of foot coupled with the ground saving rail to do his fly by at the wire. Do not dismiss. Lil Bit O'Fun is improving each and every race. He needs some racing luck to show his good turn of foot down the stretch. Kent hooks up with Thomas Proctor who might know more about young horses then any trainer state-side. I like Humble And Hungry a blue blood colt by Limehouse. He is improving.

                 1. Joes Blazing Aarons
                 2. Master Dunker
                 3. Lil Bit O'Fun/ Humble And Hungry

Race 8           MARYLAND SPRINT

Bob Baffert send out Ventana. He has run with some classy sprinters. He has been training up a storm according to the clockers. Safety Check look good smoking a field in his comeback allowance race. Nathan's H Q will press a fast pace. He looks spotted for action.

                1. Ventana
                2. Nathan's HQ
                3. Safety Check

Race 9            GALLORETTE STAKES

Shared Account trained by Motion has not raced since Breeders' Cup Day. She lite up the tote board with odds of 46 to 1. She has tactical speed cutting back in distance today. Her 2010 campaign she won over million dollars. She warrants respect if Motion has her fit and ready to rock and roll. No Explaining has the perfect closing style to do her fly by at the wire. After getting by the speed down the lane she held game to win her last race. She warrants respect for a win. Desert Sage gets the acid test in class today. This classy import has won her two starts after coming over from England. She has a excellent turn of foot.

Late Pick Four   $1 Million Guaranteed

9th        2,6,7,8
10th      1,2,5,8
11th   1,4,5,6,7,8
12th          11                 Cost $48.00

Race 10         SCHAEFER MEMORIAL

Apart a son of A.P. Indy trained by Albert Stall hires Gomez to take the irons. He has been freshened up for two months. His 2011 campaign has been at the Fairgrounds. His last two races has been in graded stake races. Colized might be the speed with Eightofastocatch. Colized has tactical speed to wait off the pace then make his move down the lane. He warrants respect. Pleasant Prince trained by Ward drops was last seen in the Breeders' Cup Classic were he ran ninth. This is a kinder spot for the Prince. Icabad Crane trained by Motion has won two straight. A New York bred who ran third in the 2008 Preakness.

                 1. Apart
                 2. Colized
                 3. Icabad Crane

Race 11         DIXIE STAKES

Paddy O'Prado has not raced in six months. Dale Roman has strung together three months of morning work-outs in him. Kent knows him well. He runs better on turf. Grand Rapport is another combacker. His three year old campaign on turf  was stellar. He is a different colt on turf. He warrants respect for a win if Gary Confessa has him fit and ready to rock and roll. Slews Answer gets the acid test on class. This four year old son of Ghostzapper faces much faster company today. But having said this He is in form and fit. He is the X factor that can step up and win.

                 1. Paddy O'Prado......comebacker
                 2. Slews Answer.....son of Ghostzapper
                 3. Bim Bam...... Gomez
                 4. Eightofastocatch......speedy.....

Race 12          PREAKNESS

I single Animal Kingdom to win the derby..... He ran like what I thought he would. He had a killer turn of foot to win.

The pace here will be faster then what he had in the derby. The pace makes the race. I expect Flashpoint and Dance City to press the pace early. Shackleford will not be on a lone lead this time around.  I hope Animal Kingdom goes on to win the Preakness. My top three picks :

            1. Animal Kingdom
            2. Flashpoint
            3. Sway Away
