FRIDAY AT SANTA ANITA PARK

                         SANTA ANITA PARK

Race 1

Beautiful Sunday goes from the outside ten hole to the rail for James Cassidy and Victor Espinoza. So She Dances is the speed of the race. I expect I same ride by Patrick who will put her on the lead. Brave Journey is stretching out for Corey. She should love the distance and the surface with her pedigree. Missbelleo's Cause a first time starter has the look of a live filly by Giant's Causeway. Chattel House the import looks spotted for action. She carried 126 pounds her last race in which she almost beat a field of 12 runners..... I like her if Beautiful Sunday falters down the lane.....

    1. Beautiful Sunday  2. Chattel House  3. So She Dances

Race 2

The Rockport Harbor Filly Heidi Maria is trying two turns for trainer Gatt. Her speed figures are on the upswing. She can press the pace controlling the lead with Patrick calling the shots. Working At Night should be right behind the pacesetter then make her move turning for home. Tizza Trick by Cee Tizzy usually improve with race under her belt. She is out of stakes winner Bright Magic. Bright Magic has produced 2 winners. She is a full sister to stakes-placed Oysters. David Flores re-rides.

Race 3

With Joel Rosario riding Willyconker who ran at Hollywood when last seen. He has been freshen for 10 months drops to the claiming ranks for the first time. Jeffrey's Groove cuts back in distance. He should love this field. If he runs back to two races back in the 50K dollars claimer he looms large for a upset. He will be over-looked because of the trainer and jockey. He will need to let the speed horse Fandino burn himself out on the frond-end.

   1. Jeffrey's Groove   2. Willyconker  3. Fandino

Race 4

Tribal  Mistress drops in class for a trainer who usually has them ready to run there best maiden race. She looms large with Talamo re-riding. She was hammered down in her debut. Moreover, she has a valid excuse her last race....... a wet fast track. Wild Cat Lore drops the class to face maiden claimers. So beware.... she does have speed and the speed jockey re-rides her. I like a first time starter but my main concern is she gets the rail. Closer To Love has a win early pedigree owned by Tommy Town who in the past has bred some quality fillies. She has been working solid for a trainer who has been heating up lately at Santa Anita. Beware!  I like her in this race.

        1. Tribal Mistress  2. Wild Cat Lore  3. Closer To Love

         No Rules Tonight longshot longshot

Race 5

A salty cast of characters for this turf route race. I like to see what Mike Puyue has done with Sir Dave. He has not miss a beat since November in his training. He was claimed at a level of 25K and given some time off. He looks fit with all his morning workouts. He has a touch of back class....... and if he goes to the rail and saves ground he might pick off the field one by one. At 12 to 1 on the morning line a good value play.

    1. Sir Dave

Race 6

Welcome Back Joe Steiner a good veteran professional jockey who can flat out ride a horse!!  WELCOME BACK.......

Woodland Flood has shown that he has tactical speed facing better then these. He has been training super. The last time he won was when he was coming back off a 2 month lay-off. Moreover, He has never run this low of a claiming level before. Joe Herrick owns and trains this double digit longshot. This might be a good value bet in the place pool Today.

     1. Woodland Flood

$20 place and show on 1

UPDATE  PAID $30.80 TO PLACE

                            $14.40 TO SHOW

Race 7

The pace looks to have Summer Games on the front-end with no contested speed types....... Summer Games shortens up in distance. Tab for a big performance.

      1.  Summer Games 2. Dubawa Heights 3. Warren's Got Game

Race 8

It is hard to trust both The Full L with Rosario and Lead Blocker.
Lead Blocker has been freshen up for his maiden diploma race. He can press the pace with Patrick taking the call. Blind Magic with Martin Pedroza will go to the lead with Lead Blocker..........if the pace is a melt down going the addtional half furlong then Bay Rush who adds the blinkers will be in the cat bird seat turning for home... Beware of this dude. Clocker Moment has the look of a professional maiden. But can improve if the pace suits his closing style. Slews Dark Knight should take a big step forward with a race under his belt....... A Player!  The Full L has been a money burner at the windows......

     1. Lead Blocker   2. Bay Rush

$20 Place  5 Bay rush

 UPDATE PAID $8.60 TO PLACE
