SUNDAY AT HOLLYWOOD PARK

COMMA TO THE TOP BY DAVID MORANT

Race 1      Six Furlongs Starter Allowance

Marcy's Wood with Derrick Do looks like the controlling speed of this starter allowance. Derrick Do got beat by Red Defense who won his third straight races yesterday. He is the horse to beat with P-Val in the bit. Quintons Flash is back on the main track at a level that makes him a contender. He will be reeling in the horses late at the wire. Blinker's come off for Marcy's Wood today which makes him a contender on the lead. Lucky Fitz has a edge in experience. I expect Pedroza will send him on the rail. Derrick Do is the horse to beat!

   1. Derrick Do

Race 2      Seven Furlongs Claimer 8K

A low level bottom feeder of a race with the whole field looks suspect to me. This is now or never for Margarita Shot a horse that I have followed. He looks off form but at this level he might just wake up. Surf Town has back class and looks spotted for action. He has been off for nine months but I love the blow out his last morning drill. A red tag around the neck of Seven Secrets who drops from the sky for Jack Carava. Victorian Prince will be flying late is a contender at this level. I think Regal Coyote looks live here with a race under his belt. This 4 year old from the east coast is trained by a under-rated trainer Jorge Periban. He gets weight off in a race void of any early speed on the front end.

    1. Regal Coyote  2. Seven Secrets 3. Victorian Prince

Race 3      Six Furlongs Turf Stakes

My Summer Slew just loves Hollywood turf sprints. After a lay off race with Cost Of Freedom he looks spotted for action. Dance With Gable had to need his race with Caracortado in which he placed 6th. He should be tighter and fitter this time around. Dilemma will be flying late to reel in the top two contenders.

Race 4      Seven Furlongs Claimer 16K

A wide open affair with Exclamation seeking his second straight at this very level. I like Proud Cardenal!

  1. Proud Cardenal  2. Rummysecret War

Race 5      One Mile Sixteenth Turf Maiden Special

Go- Go hooks up with Paddy on Tashzara after a seven month lay off. She looks live to me in this turf route maiden race. Please do not sell short the filly from Europe Dubawi Heights who might have found a field that she can beat! I bet the filly Tizalwaysomething in which she set a hot fast pace. She should move forward in her fourth start. I like the filly Contractual by Glenn Hill Farms. She should have no problem with the distance.

      1. Tashzara  2. Dubawi Heights  3. Contractual

Race 6      Six Half Furlongs Maiden Special

Quinton's Destiny was well bet first time out for Dan Hendrick's. He had a troubled trip his first race. Pride of Silver ran a respectable race first time out so expect major improvements. This looks like a good field of maien special weights............ Bob Baffert enters a first time starter with The Factor........ he has put together some fast drills.

Race 7      One Mile Turf Stakes

The class just might be the shipper Cloneylass. In Europe she won a stakes race. She placed third in her only start in her US debut. She meets a field of maiden winners. Holiday Kitten a shipper for the blue grass state is trained by Westley Ward. Beware! Neversaidiwassweet looked awesome winning her maiden. She finished full of run.

     1.  Cloneylass  2. Neversaidiwassweet 3. Holiday K

Race 8      Seven Furlongs Allowance

      1. Alcindor   2. Killer Bear  3. Cee's Pryme

Race 9      Hollywood Derby Turf

   1. Sebastian Flyte  2. Haimish Hy 3. Lions Story

$20 Place on Haimish Hy

PAID $8.20  ROI $62.00

Race 10    Six Half Furlongs Maiden 32K

  1. Double D's Diamond   2. Bryan Daniel  3. Hot Tub Aaron
