OPENING NIGHT AT HOLLYWOOD PARK
Bank $500.00
Welcome Fans tonight at Hollywood........ I see a few bets but not much! Good Luck by friends
Race 1 One Mile Sixteenth Claimer 8K
The start of the opening race is the bottom dwellers routing and hard to tell if they are sound. Sweetsouthernqueen trained by Mike Mitchell usually has his horses somewhat sound at this level. This six year old gelding finished a respectable third at a higher level which was the 16K dollar claimer. She is a mid pack plodder! First Queen goes back to a route and looks like a low level plodder~ To me there are two horses that you want to take a long look at. Look to the Sky gets the new bug girl Nicole Shinton. She race tougher against better coupled with the fact that she has speed. If Look To The Sky falters at the wire then Sunny Peace ridden by P Val can reel in the speed at the wire!
1. Look To The Sky
Race 2 Six Furlongs Turf Maiden Special Weight
Finsh Rich In NYC by the sire of Gotham City switches to turf. A race scenario with little speed on this front end. Remeber this is a California-bred maiden race.....might be a cut below. She has real speed in this sprint and she has controlling speed with a style as a front runner. Classy Eva has been freshened up for this and she runs good coming off a lay off. The like beside NYC that I like is Lady Lazer she looked great in her debut and a slight improvement puts her in the winners' circle. Golden Nip walked out of the gate and was a disappointment as the odds on favorite her last. Maybe the grass will wake her up! I like the value bet of Jax El who has has been bumped at the gate then pulled hard and finally was stopped in traffic.
- $20 place
Race 3 Six Half Furlongs Claimer 10K
A bottom feeder group . Jack Carava Escaping The Storm who Jack does super with horses off the claim. He kick him up in class. He chased a fast pace his last time and his speed numbers were not too bad! Regal Coyote is the new face in town and with his speed figures fits bi time! Cajun Gent had the classic bounce in his last race but if he runs back two races he fits.
1. Cajun Gent 2. Regal Coyote
Three Pick 5,7 with 2,4 with 6
Race 4 Five Half Furlongs Claimer 25K
A great betting race in a semi fast sprint. Lost Phophet looms the speed and tells her rivals "Come Catch Me" Remember this group is non winner of two. Period! She is shortening up and will have Niss Peanut to deal with at the quarter and half mile pole. The race sets up for a horse coming just right off the pace. That note that 90% of these short sprint are won by horse coming off the pace. Prime looks like the scary horse coming off the pace. She is facing winniers for the first time but she won like she could go around the track again. If she does not do the bounce theory she can win this. My concern is that in this race she will have horses that will run with her......She can give it up down the lane. Warren's Moon faced better o beware......she can run good from off the pace. The horse with I like and will bet is Sweet Patrica trained by Gary Sherlock and riden by Joe Talamo
Sweet Patrica $20 Place if the odds go down Pass!
Prime to Win
PICK THREE 2,4, with 2,3,56, with 2
Race 5 Six Furlongs Allowance
A blue blood allowance race sprint on the cushion track. A wide open affair if Syllabus bounces........ He smash a 25K maiden race if he can repeat that race then he is a major Player! He has speed and should take charge with this group except Derrick Do..... take not his win was a key maiden race as looks better on paper then in the Daily Racing Form. Looks hooking up with the trainer and jockey combo who has been red hot at this meet! A interesting horse that had slow speed numbers is Red Defense. One race does not make a career. Beware!
1. DOroDancer 2. Looking For Candy.
Race 6 One Mile Turf Claimer 32K
The scary one is TalkTooMuch as she is dropping into this 32k One Mile turf route. This race is not a easy race with many contenders.
TakTooMuch must looks scary on the drop. She loves the truf course and is 3 for 5 on this course. No value bet but I might include her in a pick three. Dextera has never run at this low level and quite frankly might just out run her odds. Waltzing Swam at shipper draws the best outside post. She fits and is a tough filly that just wins races.
1.Daylumney $20 bet
Race 7 Six Half Furlongs Allowance
Rebecca is the logical scary horse to win! The rail gives her no favorite here....so Mike Smith must send her fast! She has never been headed by another horse which I do not really like. She looks that good but if she gets headed she just might cave in. Not much in this race. Word Association looks like the horse to reel Rebecca in!
1.Word Asssociation
$20 Across the board
Race 8 Five Half Furlongs Maiden 25K
Blinkyos Sister might just be set on the rail..... in such such a weak maiden I will hold my breath and take her to win going five and half furlongs. She has gas and her numbers are going up! Ride A wave will be over bet and maybe 11 is her magic number. If my top two picks falter then i like I Truckee Trrust that has flashed speed in her debut.
1. Truckee Thrust 2. Bliners Sister 3. Ride A Wave
$20 across the board on Truckee Thrust
