Race 1        One Mile Turf Maiden Special Weight

 Sky Fox looks to me to be the speed of the race (22/1 then 45 ). He is stretching out to two turns. Mike Smith takes the call is his biggest asset. Grove Park last race at seven furlongs was respectable in that he was closing from last to 5th.  Distorted  Economy I have always love the breeding of Forty Niner and Red Random trained by one of the best and Tyler Baze takes the mount. Neil  Drysdale hits at 21% when he puts first time blinkers on his horses. Tweebster shortens up to a mile today and will be right behind the speed. A major contender in is short field of turf maidens. Rauschenberg should love the added distance by Grand Slam out of a A.P.Indy mare. He is stretching out today and might be the one to fear down the lane. Your Call!




Race 2         Seven Furlong Claimer (16K)
Precious Song had to need her last race coming back after a seven month lay off. She returns to a surface that is better suited for her. She just might be the speed of this race. This race condition is non winners of two so most every horse fits. Mary Strong adds to the mix with the deadly trainer/jockey combo of Mitchell and Bejarano. Warren's Swap Fox has been claimed in her last two races. Her last race she did not break cleanly from the rail and so she adds blinkers today. She will be closing with Joel Rosario in the irons. Cruzin Topless a cool name is trained by Jeff Blonde and I suspect he has a number of live mounts in his stable for Del Mar this year. Cruzin shortens up and if she takes to the poly track she is the horse I like on the place or win bet.


Race 3         Five Furlong Turf Optional Claimer
Sister Dawn will most likely be the betting favorite for the six time since her first win. She might be a filly to take a stand against. She might be on many single pick Six Tickets. It might be a surprise if she loses this race because her last race she was second under the same conditions today with the winner Sweet Hanni and was five lenghts clear of the third horse. But having said all this I like Pink Diamond and Amina also in this race. This might be a good race to end a pick three with these three horse.

Race 4         Six Furlong Maiden (25K)
Holloween Candy has the highest speed numbers drops in class and the deadly trainer / jockey combo is Hoffendorfer and Rosario. What's not to like but why the drop to the bottom feeders is my question!  She sports a excellent work out tab firing bullets in the months of May June and then July! Lady Adell by the sire of El Corredor is placed at a level where she is a major contender. Sadler and Talmo team up. Haunted Highway a shipper up North with respectable speed numbers fits with these. Corey Nakatani is looking for his first win back in So. Cal.
