RACE 7
Optional claiming race at the distance of one mile for three year old and up is the feature race today!
ANALYSIS:
The pace looks to have Got Even pressing the pace........the five year old gelding shortens up to a mile as Edwin will try to steal this race early.......the field will need to catch him to win this feature race........Peter Miller was red hot at Del Mar and I expect he will be sending out live horses in this 12 day meet. Knock Them Flat on paper looks to go with Got Even.......this three year old colt will run with older horses.....His maiden win was in the slop back east at Oaklawn Park........He has speed which is a major asset at this course..............He next start was a 100 G stake race where he finish a strong second.......He will be over looked at the betting windows.........Jeff Mullins and Joe Talamo team up on this A.P. Indy colt........He is well bred......so do not dismiss him so quickly as he warrant respect.
Toledo Eddie appears to be the one to beat! He runs his best performances over as he has won seven out of 11 over the dirt. Craig Dollase trains this Idaho bred gelding as he outruns his pedigree......He has both speed and tactical speed to press the pace or sit back and wait stalking the speed......He has a above average turn of foot to kick clear and be dangerous at the wire. He was a very game second over the turf behind Play Hard To Get.........today just might end his six race losing streak. Bug Boy Van Dyke was the leading rider this summer at this meet......gets weight off.....
1. Toledo Eddie
2. Knock Them Flat
3. Wrightwood
