RACE 1
A maiden claiming race open up for fillies and mares at one mile on the all weather track.
ANALYSIS:
I bet Wild Caroline last time she ran at the beach.......She runs like a router not a sprinter where she ran at Santa Anita in her last start........She likes this surface and trainer Mike Puype puts her back in a route race on the surface where she likes.......no value as I expect the odds will be low on her!
1. Wild Caroline
RACE 2
A optional allowance state bred route race at the distance of one mile and a sixteenth on the all weather track.
ANALYSIS:
The favorite looks to be Lucky J Lane but Smith jumps off him as goes to Unusually Green sired by Unusual Heat who his babies relish this poly track. He broke his maiden over this surface and check out who was on him........
RACE 3
A six and a half furlongs for fillies and mares three year olds and up!
ANALYSIS:
RACE 4
A sprint at the claiming price of 10 G's for fillies and mares three year olds and up!
ANALYSIS:
RACE 5
One mile on the turf is this maiden special weight race for two year olds.
ANALYSIS:
This is a tough wide open turf maiden special weight where this big field is excellent for the bettors........many contender's coupled with blue bloods first time starters that might need a race under there belt or they might fire with a winning performance.........This summer the on the turf the inside post was tough position to overcome. The outside post both Corey Nakatani and Mike Smith were red hot at the winner's circle.........the real racing on turf was when the field when around the bend at the top the the stretch they made there winning moves. We will see how the turf races run today.......is it the same as the summer turf races or has the turf course changed.
Bolo looks like a runners to me......a blueblood sired by Dynaformer and bred by Spendthift Farms should relish this surface. Carla Gains trains him and she has put together long six furlong drills in him in the morning. The red hot turf jockey this summer rides him.......Mike Smith.....
Battle of Evermore sired by Scat Daddy out of the mare Good and Tough is making his fourth start for the winning trainer this summer John Sadler..........Corey re-rides him from the rail.......Let's see if the rail is a positive or negative position to be........this race will tell us.
Smuggler Union trained by a under-rated trainer Howard Zucker press a fast pace before fading to fifth.......That race was a key maiden race where a number of horses in that race have come back to win.........Bejarano rarely rides for this trainer as Smith climbs off this horse to go to the first time starter.
1. Battle Of Evermore
2. Bolo
3. Smuggler Union
Long Shot FTS Armored Car
RACE 6
One mile on the all weather track for fillies and mares open for three year olds and up!
ANALYSIS:
RACE 7
A allowance optional claiming 40 G route at the distance of one mile and a sixteenth open for three year olds and up!
ANALYSIS:
RACE 8
The feature race on opening day The Kathryn Crosby Stakes on the turf going one mile restricted open for fillies and mares three year olds and up!
ANALYSIS:
The pace will make this races as there looks like plenty of speed early on the front end.
#10 KITTEN’S POINT may be coming out of the strongest races of all the fillies and mares in this competitive turf stakes. Her best performances in turf events at or around this distance make her a solid threat and she will get some pace in front of her.
#8 WISHING GATE is already a graded stakes winner over this turf course. She nearly stole one on the lead here in August but was outfinished in a big effort and may be even better from off the pace. She looks like a major player here.
#2 QUEEN OF THE SAND has won twice under this rider in as many U.S. starts over a mile and may be this good. She was in over her head at a longer distance last out but may have found a realistic spot today to seek her first U.S. stakes victory.
EIGHTH RACE: 1. Kitten’s Point (best bet), 2. Gender Agenda, 3. Queen of The Sand. LONG SHOT: Burning Arch.
Trainer Graham Motion has been on fire nationally and he shipped KITTEN’S POINT (9-2), a 4-year-old filly, to SoCal looking for some cash. She’s drops out of the Grade I First Lady, which has proven to be a key race with Dayatthespa and Filimbi coming back winners. Jockey Aaron Gryder picks up the mount.
RACE 9
A six and a half furlong state bred maiden special weight sprint open up to two year old's
ANALYSIS:
NINTH RACE 1. Heat the Rocks, 2. Silver Starlight, 3. Scuti de Patuti. .LONG SHOT: Is This Georgia.
The #8 HEAT THE ROCKS sports two solid efforts for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Unless one of the first time starters
in today’s field shows up with a huge effort, then Elvis Trujillo should guide this one to the winner’s circle
in her third career start.
