RACE 1

I bet Test Ride in a high price maiden claimer.....His wheels came off facing stake races.......last race at Del Mar was a claiming race were he earned by excellent speed number.......as you can tell he takes to the poly and his debut last year was strong.......at 5 to 1 a good value bet.......Bred to have speed and I expect Michael Pender will have him cranked up as Kent re-rides him........lot's to like here...

Dench a FTS who's sired gets his babies to win early...my concern is that the trainer is not known to win early........but that can change....the trainer does but together slow works so do not worry about that.

Another FTS is Moonlight Meeting.....both sire and dame is a semi blue-blood....The dam is a stakes winner.....He was scratched earlier this season.......but look who takes the call Bejarano.....beware!

He's The Bling I have bet before opening week......that was his second start and he looked uneasy during pre -race warm up......His debut was back in Kentucky on a very sloopy track.....hard to judge on that wet surface.

RACE 2


I bet Magnificent Shirl who I expect that Bejarano will make a killer late turn coming around the bend.......4 to 1 is a good value bet.

Kadesha should relish the longer distance.......lightly raced...look she exits a key race where is beat three horses that came back a won.......hard and talented key........watch out if Magnificent Shirl comes up short.

Both Starry Skies beaten as a favorite is a head case but the X factor is the poly track......if she takes to this surface she warrants major respect.

 Remarkable Moon who runs like Silky Sullivan...She comes from out of the clouds......I expect the Hall Of Fame has her cranked up for a good performance.....She has finished in the top three out of four races over this distance.........

A interesting under -rated filly is Marcyjane who I have bet before......out of three starts over this course she has two wins and a third.

RACE 3

I hate to be Chalk Charlie but Presiding Justice flew home to get second at this level......

If you want to beat him maybe Magna Warrior and Macho Sox might have a legitimate look if the favorite runs a sub par performance.

The interesting X factor a long shot is Grand Humormight.....and the horse Grand Humor. Grand Humormight last race he was taken out of that race so just forget that one......He runs good over the dirt so my question is how he will run over the poly track. He will need luck with a clean trip to make him take his photo at the winner's circle.

Grand Humor adds the hood then he removes him as this was a bad move........He too had ton's of trouble...and will need a clean trip.........I expect that he will show speed with removing the blinkers.!

RACE 4




Analysis:  Timeless Indy is the speed.....Elvin I expect will try to steal this race from gate to wire! Elvis Trujillo who makes his second start on the poly....He flew at the wire finishing full of run. He is bred to take to the poly...a good horse can run on any surface.........first time on the poly and I think he is very live.......He will need his A game to beat Tres Borrachos

The old dude Tres Borrachos ran a excellent second at this distance and Bejarano will be the favorite........He won a stakes race at the track........watch out but if he runs a sub par race then look to


31Firststreet takes a big class drop........He is making his second start........do not dismiss this one as this level. He could be dangerous!

RACE 5

A talented group of horses going around two turns on the turf........Has any horse won on the rail yet!

Zimmer who loves this course.........at eight he has a win and a second in two starts over this course.....He is the horse for the course........trainer is having a strong meet here at Del Mar.....sired by Empire Maker out of the dam Phone Trick who is bred to have speed.......but the sire is a pure Blue-Blood that can run all day long........Proctor and the ex bug boy takes the mount.

Snaps a under rated horse won first time during the month of Feb.......Richard Mandella draws the short straw and leaves from the extreme outside........I expect Mike Smith will press fast factions when the bell sounds so he does not lose any ground......sired by City Zip out of the mare Storm Bird....a pure bred sprinter that is bred to go one mile......He is a major player......

Valley Cat has the perfect running style to win this race..........great connections as Hollendofer and Bejarano team up.......

PACE WILL MAKE THIS RACE !   tough race so take note!

RACE 6

The King Bob Baffert has a son of Curlin.......He looks scary first time out........ultra fast works is the key for Bob. His main man Martin Garcia takes the mount on Abusive Power...looks like a runner to me...ultra fast works........

Kantune debut was good........He press very fast factions over this track before fading into the sunset........that was a good performance........He gets the garden spot on the outside........

Film Freak FTS........that his kins are stake winners.......check out his morning works.........Major player.

I caan not remember when Bejarano rode for James Cassidy..........I expect that Prophetic that cost 400 G's at the auction debuts for Cassidy that here at De Lar is putting together a winning meet.........sired is one of the best stallions in America........watch out!

RACE 7

A wide open contentious route race with many condenters and very few pretenters.

Yard Line is no turf horse........He runs over the dirt,synethic and poly much better then what he did on the turf......pure speed...might want to catch him...but there are other speed horses in this race.

Sweet Sunshine is a closer sired by my favorite Candy Ride.....good horses can run over any surfaces......Last fall was the season I saw him run so he is fresh........the trainer has the rep. that he sends out his horses ready to win and fire big time.......love those works he has strung together to get him in fit and ready for a winning race. Edwin re-rides so he knows him well.

Big Tire won after three stake races........He is back with friends and is dangerous at this level..........The new king in the jockey room is Elvis Trujjulo.......
If Sweet or Yard Line run a sub par races he looks scary for the win!

RACE 8     DEL MAR OAKS GRADE 1

One mile and a eighth on the turf for three year old fillies......
Chris Clement flys west with a live filly Sea Queen     5 wins and two seconds......daughter of Lemon Drop Kid....look she flew home in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational........Bejarano will try to get her home from the extreme outside post.

The lack of pace is a major concern.  PACE WILL MAKE THIS RACE!

Corey rides Personal Diary....who ran a excellent race.....She only needs to step up in class to make her a major contender. Talamo blew her last race as he waited way to long to get though........TAB THE SWITCH TO ONE OF THE BEST TURF JOCKEYS.......Corey Nakatani rides for a under -rated trainer  Vic  Oliver.........she has excellent pedigree and she is game...she will need to have fast pace to sit it up for her

RACE 9

Non winners of two for the claiming price of 16 G's sprinting on the main track.........Suspect is the key and hard to trust anyone true form.


Salsita broke his maiden against much better foes.......like the speed pedigree........Miller is sneaky good with foes that come back fresh...The last time we saw was five months ago........He ran a dull race against 40 maiden allowance race.......check out the bullet.......so I expect he will take to the poly track.......at 12 to 1 I like the odds......

 Brandon's Princess......He ran a huge race race flying home to miss by a nose.......Michael Pender trains this daughter by Exchange Rate out of the mare Mr. Greenly...... She has run ten times getting one win four seconds and a third.....She is not a horse that is a herd horse or a hanger.......The excellent gate jockey will have choices........she can press the pace or chill then wait tell the speed has a meltdown then kick clear.She has a above average couple with her blue blood pedigree at this level to win........great odds at 8 to 1........I like the top two picks.   USE BOTH OF THE SELECTIONS IN THE LATE PICK 4 !

RACE 1O

One mile for maiden claiming for 40 G's........ Big field of 11 runner's on the poly track.....

In Excessivement trained by a excellent trainer Donald Warren switches from the turf to the poly.......In Excess babies run strong on the poly....bred to relish this surface. I'am express with how Warren has strung together two nice seven furlong works the two fast five furlongs drills........at 6 to 1........might be a good value bet.........Edwin who is has cold at Del Mar looks to have a major player in this night cap.   Classified Weapon gets the hot jockey with Bayview Drive and Royal Tale are the main rivals........Mis -deed has a long look also.....

Silent Ruler.......the team of the combo of Jockey Kent Desormeaux and his brother.........have been having a unreal meet this year.......a contender from the post of 10.

Classified Weapon....trained by Simon Callahan has a bullet work......He adds the blinkers and exits a key debut for this Euro Import........check out the jockey who has been improving after his accident
